Day into evening dresses for the winter and holiday 2012 seasons

The winter season is fast approaching which means the holiday party season is almost here. The holidays are a sparkling, festive time when everyone finds themselves invited to at least one fabulous soiree. While many holiday parties are held at night, on a Saturday or Sunday, other parties are held on a weekday; which means there is little time to switch from office attire to a holiday party ensemble.

Never fear, the day into evening dress is here! The wonderful thing about day into evening dresses is that they deliver on what they promise. A quick change of shoes and jewelry with the addition of a sparkling evening clutch can turn almost any office appropriate dress into a festive party ensemble. Love that!

The best dresses for day into evening looks are solid in color and offer a slim, sheath silhouette. We took three fabulous, simple office appropriate dresses and created day into evening looks through the Polyvore sets included in this article. We hope you love them! Happy Holidays and enjoy your soiree!

Fall 2012 shoe trends: oh how we love them!

Fall 2012 is a fabulous season for shoes. Designers in Paris, New York, Milan and London brought us jewel tone colors, rocker chic studs, flirty ankle straps, edgy ankle booties, masculine smoking slippers, t-strap heels and playful leopard print. All of these shoe trends have made us crave an entire new wardrobe of shoes and Fashionistas everywhere are finding themselves building ensembles from the shoe up. Literally!

The amazing part about all of these fabulous shoe trends from the runways is that they actually made it to the streets! How often does that happen?! Normally we find a handful of shoe trends make it from the runway to the street, but this fall/winter 2012 season fashionable shoppers been flocking to every shoe trend they can get their hands on!

Fashionistas are being spotted wearing leopard print flats with casual jeans as well as their little black dresses. Jewel tone pumps are being spotted on the street paired with prints and contrasting hues. Rocker chic studded shoes are being paired with preppy ensembles while weekend activities are calling for smoking slippers. Of course, sassy snkle strap heeks have been spotted at cocktail parties. To sum it up, everyone this season seems to being spending their seasonal budget on footwear! Love this!

What has been your favorite shoe trend this fall?

Epic bracelet from Twisted Silver offers Steampunk flair for fall

Steampunk, a sub-culture and art genre which takes its’ inspiration from Victorian era technology (in simple terms), has a growing influence on art and fashion. The new “Epic” bracelet from Bay Area jewelry design house Twisted Silver offers Steampunk flair which is easy to incorporate into both a Victorian inspired ensemble as well as any fall 2012 look. Love that!

The “Epic” bracelet from Twisted Silver features three distinct stations which evoke both an industrial revolution vibe and a feminine vibe. This bracelet could easily be worn with one of fall’s hot lace dresses, a rocker-chic ensemble or a simple, little black dress. Of course, the “Epic” bracelet would also be the perfect way to complete a fabulous Steampunk outfit for a Steampunk event such as the upcoming “Steampunk World’s Fair” in May 2013!

Personally, I love the “Epic” bracelet stacked with a leather wrap bracelet. This beautiful piece also looks fabulous alone for dressier occasions; as mentioned before-the perfect way to spice up a little black dress! For more casual occasions, the “Epic” bracelet from Twisted Silver looks amazing with Twisted Silver’s“Rag” bracelets. Love this!
The “Epic” bracelet from Twisted Silver is available starting today at Twisted-Silver.com and is priced at $100. Use coupon code INSIDERS for a 15% discount.
