Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue eau de toilette review

PhotoLight Blue EDT c/o Dolce and Gabbana

Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue eau de toilette is a fresh and crisp fragrance perfect for transitioning from summer into fall. As we leave summer behind and move into the autumn months, the weather is still warm; sometimes reaching 90 degrees. Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue is perfect for warm weather and offers a reminiscent vibe of the summer vacation we left behind.

Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana combines fragrance notes of citron, lemon, bluebell, Granny Smith apple, jasmine, rose, bamboo, cedar wood, amber and musk. This combination of crisp summer top and heart notes combined with warm, autumn base notes creates the perfect fragrance experience throughout the day. While the sun rises and heats up the day, Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana cycles through the citrus top notes and fruity-floral middle fragrance notes. At the end of the day when the fog rolls in from the ocean, the warm woody base warms up the evening. Love that!

Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue eau de toilette received five out of five stars from Bay Area Fashionista!

Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana can be found in three sizes, .84oz, 1.6oz and 3.3oz. The line is priced from $48-$89 and can be found online here.

The perfect blazer for summer

August has been cold. Let’s face it. In the southern part of the San Francisco Bay Area, August is normally a very warm place. We enjoy temperatures in the 80’s and 90’s. We crank our air conditioners all day and all night; but summer 2013 has been different. Having grown up in Marin and lived in San Francisco, I know what a cold, foggy summer is like. I thought I left 60 degree summers behind when relocating to the south bay, but not this year. August has been COLD!

Due to the daily fog and mild temperatures, I find myself wearing jeans or pants during the day and needing a jacket at night. That is where this fabulous blazer from Wallis comes in to save the day. Wallis has created the perfect, lightweight blazer for foggy days and nights. The fabric is light enough for when temperatures hover in the 60’s or low 70’s, yet warm enough to cut off the crisp cold felt when the fog rolls in from the ocean or the bay. Love this!

In the above photos I paired my Wallis blazer with an evening outfit. I love the relaxed shape and fit of the blazer. It was perfect when the fog rolled in over the Santa Cruz Mountains and cooled everything off.

If you like the blazer, and/or you like how I styled it for a recent summer night out in the photos above, please vote for me in a contest on the Wallis Facebook page! To learn more about Wallis, please visitwallis.com. Thank you so much for your support!

Happy shopping, and stay fabulous

Soft structure

The best thing about transitional attire is that it reflects the trends of the new season yet offers lightweight construction. This makes transitional clothing better for the Bay Area than traditional fall attire which tends to be too heavy to wear in 60 and 70 degree weather.

I love this new dress from ASOS which is made from a lightweight, airy fabric and is perfect for transitioning from summer into fall. The black and white design is on-trend and the silhouette offers an airy feel which is perfect for 70 degree temperatures. In the morning when the fog is still in, a black motorcycle jacket or denim jacket is the perfect topper to keep warm.
