spring 2013

Bright colors, pointed toes and 1980’s inspiration

Pattern, bright colors, pointed toes and 1980’s silhouettes are all hot trends for spring/summer 2013. These are trends which I love! I decided to mix them all together, which this Milly dress helped me do  , and bright out the color of 2013 through accessories. What is your favorite way to mix these trends for spring?

Metallics have been huge for the past few seasons and are showing no sign of slowing down as we head into summer, fall and winter. Printed jeans and studs are also two trends which were hot on the fall/winter 2013/2014 runways. With all of these runway trends popular on the street, it is fun to mix and match them together for a personal touch!

I especially love this edgy tote bag by Dareen Hakim from Circle & Square SF. It has a pewter, metallic finish which works well both during the day and for evening occasions. The tote bag is roomy yet lightweight which is always a plus! Since pewter is darker than silver, this tote bag will work well as we move into the fall/winter season. Love that! I am all about investment dressing

It is no secret that floral prints, bright colors and emerald green are hot for spring/summer 2013. While an easy way  to wear florals is on a dress, and an easy way to wear bright colors is with neutrals, sometimes it is fun to pair the two together and create a bright, floral ensemble!

I love Naya Shoes. This short wedge sandal from the eco-chic company’s spring/summer 2013 collection is easy to wear with lightweight fabric dresses, jeans, skinnies and of course, summer shorts! Every shoe made by Naya Shoes is Eco Chic and made from eco-conconscious materials in an eco-consciouc fashion. Love that!

The “Helena,” pictured here in Taupe/Coffee, is a classic sandal with just enough of a wedge to add a little bit of height to my 5’4″ frame. They are also very comfortable
