How cute is the new Mini Ella Bio tote from Tory Burch! It is adorable! This little mini tote features Tory Burch’s classic tote styling with her full size logo on the front, simple lines, and simple straps. It resembles the tote bags Tory Burch has been designing for years and years, but this time, it is made from an eco-friendly material which is dubbed “the bio tote.” Love that!

As designers and brands work towards a more environmentally friendly manufacturing environment, they are also working hard to find materials which are environmentally friendly and downright eco-chic. While we see mostly new and emerging brands working with these modern fabrications, it is incredibly important to see a major designer work with an environmentally friendly material and create an IT bag people will get excited to buy and wear. I am thrilled to see this right now!

The Tory Burch Ella Bio tote collection is available in multiple sizes, but for spring 2023, I decided I wanted a little mini tote in a neutral hue, so I picked out the Mini Ella Bio tote and I am in love! This cute little tote snuggly fits my wallet, keys, lipstick, and iPhone without room to spare. The detachable cross body strap can be worn over the shoulder, or cross body, depending on your current mood. This bag can also be worn hand-held or on your forearm. Love that!

For the spring 2023 season, the Tory Burch Mini Ella Bio tote in available in neutral hues, as well as seasonal brights. I have a feeling the neutral hues will remain in her regular collection, and we will see new seasonal colors every year. This is a simple, practical, eco-friendly handbag, so I have a feeling it will sell well, and become popular. I might have to pick up a black one in a large size! Love!

How to fix cracked heels

how to fix cracked heels how to heal cracked heels

How to heal cracked heels from left: heel exfoliator / foot cream /

OK, this is an age-old problem with our feet which occurs every time we are getting ready to show off our feet in our fabulous spring and summer footwear. Ugh! Our heels are cracked! Now, don’t sit there and claim you have never had this problem; everyone has this problem.

For the duration of the winter season, our feet have been hidden away in socks which are hidden inside boots. All of this warmth and moisture has allowed our heels to appear fine. They are not fine. As soon as the socks come off, and the slides, mules, and sandals come on, our heels start cracking like crazy! It is an annual annoyance.

You might already know how to solve this problem, but most people, think foot cream alone will solve the cracked heel issue. I can assure you; it will not solve the problem. We need more than foot cream alone; we need to exfoliate our heels.

Some people might think a complicated routine needs to occur to fix cracked heels, that is not the case. You don’t need to bother with foot masks, sticky stickers with big claims, or other strange routines which do not produce results, or offer too complicated and expensive a solution. There is a really simple way to heal cracked heals, and some of you may already know this routine!

2 simple steps to fixing cracked heels:

  1. Exfoliate: I don’t mean use an expensive product to exfoliate. You can use an inexpensive product which can easily be cleaned and re-used year after year. An exfoliating file is the ideal way to get rid of those cracks and smooth out your heels. They work like a charm! The one I use is no longer made, but the one pictured above has really good ratings and is quite similar to the one I use. It should do the trick!
  2. Foot cream: After exfoliating, wipe off your heels and apply foot cream. L’Occitane makes a great cream which helps soften heels. I recommend applying it morning and night; and as needed.

That’s it! If your heels are really, severely cracked, you may need to do this a few times before you are happy with the results. Otherwise, I do this once a year and it works like a charm! Of course, I keep using the foot cream throughout the spring and summer seasons. Now, if winter would go away so we can actually have some sandal weather!

Here are a few products to help make your feet fabulous for sandal season!

Spring 2023 fitness routine

pictured: running shoes /

Spring is here! This means it is time to revamp my fitness routine and get moving! Normally in the springtime, I would add an outdoor workout. This year, spring has not sprung. It is still cold outside, and we are getting so much rain! So, for spring 2023 I have decided to keep my workout indoors until further notice.

I still have planter fasciitis, but thankfully, I have it under control, so it isn’t too debilitating. Inside my shoes, I replace the inserts with orthotics to give myself the arch support I need to stay relatively pain free. It works most of the time.

It is important to have a good mix of cardio, interval training, and strength training in any fitness routine. So, without further ado, here is my spring 2023 fitness routine.

Monday: BodyCombat (cardio)

Tuesday: Mat Sculpt (strength)

Wednesday: Spin (interval)

Thursday: Vinyasa Yoga

Friday: Rest and walk 30 minutes outside (weather permitting)

Saturday: Weights and core

Sunday: Walk 30 minutes

This is an easier routine than I normally would schedule, but since I am trying to get my foot pain under control, I am doing exercises which are mostly pain-free. Finger crossed this works! I am not one to rest, so this is my alternative.

What type of routine are you doing for your spring fitness?
