Stanford Beauty Brunch fall 2024

Stanford Shopping Center hosted a fabulous beauty brunch over the weekend for local bloggers such as myself. This beautiful event included a delicious catered meal from Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar near Bloomingdale’s. There was also chocolate from Laderach Chocolatier Suisse which was equally delicious. Yum!

The event was intimate with roughly seven shops from Stanford Shopping Center showcasing beauty products and two tables of local bloggers. It was so much fun to meet new local bloggers as well as speak to people in person who I normally only interact with on social media. I love a good party!!

In addition to yummy food and being social, we were able to check out some new and existing beauty products from our favorite shops at Stanford Shopping Center. I fell in love with the Guerlain perfume from Neiman Marcus. I’m trying to decide if I would like to purchase the “Patchouli Paris” or the “Feve Gourmande” as my fall season fragrance. They are both so pretty!

You know me, I love Chanel beauty! Bloomingdale’s showcased their Chanel N 1 collection which includes a must-have mist. I definitely feel like I need to add this line to my beauty routine. Love!

If you have been following along, you know I also love Estee Lauder products. My travel beauty bag is filled with skin care from Estee Lauder because their products are perfect for reviving my skin when I travel. They have new night cream we can use in conjunction with their Advanced Night Repair line. I am obsessed!

Sephora at Stanford Shopping Center showcased skin care from Drunk Elephant which is vegan and improves skin’s firmness. I definitely want to test out their products.

Nordstrom showcased products from Bobbie Brown and I discovered they have an amazing vitamin enriched face base primer which is perfect for my GenX skin. I am definitely adding this to my morning skin care routine. Love it!

Lastly, Dry Bar was also showcasing their services. They are the perfect one-stop-shop for a blowout when you have a special occasions, big event, or just want fabulous hair for the day. Love that!

My favorite beauty products from the Insider Sale

sephora beauty insider sale best beauty products on sale

My favorite beauty products from Sephora from top left: Moroccanoil / Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Night Eye Cream / Estee Lauder eyemakeup remover / Laura Mercier foundation powder / Urban Decay eye palette / Estee Lauder foundation / Laura Mercer loose setting powder / Laura Mercier caviar eye pencil (I always wear cocoa) / Bobbi Brown lipstick / Urban Decay lipstick /

The Sephora Beauty Insider sale event is in full swing! This is a great time to pick up beauty products you love on deep discounts; because let’s face it, beauty products never go on sale-at least the good ones!!

The beauty products I am sharing with you today are ones I use all the time. Some have been life-long favorites, while others are new to my beauty bag. Some of these products are part of the Sephora Beauty Insider Sale, and some are not. I didn’t want to share a whole bunch of sale products with you that I don’t use, so instead, I am sharing the products I use which are sold at Sephora. You don’t see a complete skin care, or makeup routine in this post. That’s because some of the products I use aren’t sold at Sephora, and I am not going to recommend random products to you in order to fill in the gaps. You can find my current nail polish here, my skin care routine here, and my go-to blush here.

The products I have been using for over ten years include Moroccanoil, Estee Lauder eye makeup remover (I’ve been using this one since high school!), Laura Mercier Foundation Powder, and the Laura Mercier Caviar eye pencil. The other products have been added to my beauty bag in the last two years; and the eye cream in the last month. These are all incredible products which I cannot live without.

Now onto the details of this sale! If you shop at Sephora, you may already know about their beauty insider program. If you spend a minimum of $350, you become a VIB Level customer. Once you spend $1000, you become a Rouge Member. Rouge members gain access to special discounts, custom make-overs, and invite-only events. VIB members gain access to the sale on August 30, 2018, and can continue to save through September 3, 2018. Rouge members can start saving now! If you aren’t part of the Sephora membership program, you can easily join the Beauty Insider Program online here.

Lancome Visionnaire Blur review

On March 1, 2014 Sephora launched Lancome’s new “Visionnaire Blur”  cream. This extraordinary innovation from Lancome minimizes or “blurs” all those imperfections on one’s face which can add age to skin. One minute after application, Lancome’s “Visionnaire Blur” minimizes fine lines, discolorations and large pores. These are all problems I have with my skin!

I was fortunate enough to receive a sample of Lancome’s “Visionnaire Blur” for review from Sephora in mid-February. Over the past couple of weeks I have been able to put Lancome’s “Visionnaire Blur” to the test. After all, I have sun damaged skin, so it can be pretty tough to minimize anything on my face without concealer and foundation!

I was thrilled when I tested Lancome’s “Visionnaire Blur” because my fine lines seemed less visible and my uneven skin tone appeared to have been covered up; it was almost as if I had put on a light layer of concealer! I have large pores in my t-zone, those were still visible but did not seem AS visible as usual. I did my usual skin care routine which involves washing my face and applying face cream with SPF 30. After I applied my face cream, I used Lancome’s “Visionnaire Blur” and I could see the results right away. Love that!

Lancome has also come out with an eye cream in their “Visionnaire” line which I definitely need to get my hands on to try!

Lancome’s “Visionnaire Blur” starts at $55 and can be found online at Sephora.
