Over the 4th of July weekend, my husband and I went to The Mountain Winery in Saratoga, California, to see Foreigner perform. They were so amazing!

We started the evening with dinner. Our table was perfect. We sat on the Chateau deck overlooking the valley at The Mountain Winery. The view was amazing! After dinner, we watched the opening band, The Bad Jones, perform. They were so awesome! I have a new band to add to my list of favorites!

The highlight of the night was Foreigner’s performance. Although none of the original members were on stage, the current line-up is incredibly talented; and they put on a great show! It was fun to see them moving around the stage; and the lead singer went into the audience several times! It was such a great performance!

The Mountain Winery is one of my favorite places to go for a date night with my husband. We usually get the “Ultimate Night Out Package” which includes VIP parking, a three course dinner, and close-to-the-stage seats. It really is the ultimate night out! Love!

The summer concert series at The Mountain Winery is held in the summer months when the weather is perfect. We only had a rain incident once, and that was last year when we saw Huey Lewis and the News.

When it comes to my Mountain Winery Concert outfit I always put something together which is comfortable, lightweight, and easy to move to the music in. This outfit was perfect! We snapped these pictures at home before heading out to the concert. I didn’t want to lug my big ‘ol DSLR to the concert.

If you are local to the Bay Area, or traveling to the area, definitely check out The Mountin Winery for a fun concert this summer. You can learn more about them at MountainWinery.com.

If Foreigner was before your time, and you like rock ‘n roll, check them out on iTunes. You might fall in love! Also check out The Bad Jones, they are an amazing rock group too! Love them!

Lastly, if you are Chloe fan like me, my favorite little going-out-at-night bag is on sale! You can find it online here.

No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum

No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum is a serum which is targeted at decreasing visible signs of advanced aging. It is clinically proven to be effective at visibly reducing deep lines, and wrinkles, in a mere two weeks.

As an aging GenX-er, I am just starting to see fine lines on my forehead, and around my eyes. I have been using products targeted at keeping my skin moisturized, and reducing the signs of fine lines. No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum is meant more for someone who has deeper lines than me. That being said, I did test it out for two weeks because if it can reduce deep lines, what can it for fine lines?

I used No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum with my current day cream, and night cream. I did feel a little bit of tightening in my skin, which slightly reduced the signs of my fine lines on my forehead. I did not use it on the lines near my eyes since I prefer to use an eye cream in that area.

No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum is a great product to use if you have visible lines. It will not erase them completely, but it does reduce their depth, which in turn, reduced their visibility. I felt like it added moisture to my skin, and tightened it as needed.

Since No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum is hypo-allergenic, and fragrance free. It is an easy product to use if you have sensitive skin. If you have deep lines and wrinkles, give it try!

You can find No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum online here and here.

Printed skirt with a painted story

Pictured: Sunglasses: Chanel / Earrings: Kendra Scott / Lipstick: c/o Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Rosa / Tee shirt: Halogen (old, also love this one) / Cuff: H & M (under $5!) / Handbag: Givenchy (similar under $400 here) / Skirt: Alice + Olivia / Nail Polish: Chanel Canotier / Shoes: Prada (similar under $300 here, and under $100 here)

I usually shy away from non-traditional prints, but when I saw this printed skirt by Alice + Olivia which appears to have a colorful painting on it, I decided I needed it in my life. The scene on the skirt appears to be vintage architecture in colorful Havana.  The only sign of humans are wall paintings which also exude a vintage vibe. There is one sign of life; a lonely kitten on a balcony.

The colors are vibrant, and modern; ideal for the summer months. There is something about the print which draws me into a colorful, vintage Havana where I can escape for at least one moment. It’s as if I am the missing human; and I need to pick up the kitten, and bring her inside for safety.

After I received the skirt, and began to style it, I found if I picked up any of the colors, it took away from the skirt itself. This led me to pair it with black in order to allow the skirt to be the centerpiece of the outfit. I paired my printed skirt with a basic tee because it has been over ninety degrees here, and tee shirts are incredibly comfortable in this extreme heat.

Fashion is a form of art, so why not find something artistic which reflects your personal style? I love this printed skirt. It is a classic full, knee length skirt (on me because I am 5’4″ on someone taller it will hit higher on the thigh)  which can be styled conservatively, as I styled it, or with more va-va-voom. For example, it can be paired with a crop top and strappy sandals for more of party-ready look.

Have you ever found an artistic accessory, or article of clothing, which spoke to you? If so, please share in the comments below!
