The Hello Kitty Supercute Friendship Festival took place July 10-11 at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California. The festival attracted a large crowd of dedicated Hello Kitty fans. In addition to entertainment on two stages, there was a fashion show, photo kiosk, Hello Kitty Sweet Movie Time Theater, Sanrio Friendship Forest, Hello Kitty and Couture Display, Penny Press, Temporary Tattoo station, Hello Kitty Paper Display, and there was plenty of supercute merchandise for sale too.

We attended the Hello Kitty Supercute Friendship Festival on July 11 at 2pm. The event was jam-packed with Hello Kitty fans and tons of activities for adults and kids alike. My kids enjoyed the jumpy house, live entertainment, photo opportunities, fashion show, and art activities. Everything was supercute!

The fashion show showcased Hello Kitty fans and their supercute sense of style. It is amazing how creative people can be! This was the first annual Hello Kitty Supercute Friendship Festival, and it was super fun! We are looking forward to future Hello Kitty events.

Petite flare jeans by Citizens of Humanity

One of the hardest things to shop for is jeans! At 5’4″ tall, I find the majority of jeans on the market way too long for me. I often have to spend extra money tailoring my jeans in order to fit my short legs. One huge problem I encounter is when I have to shorten bootcut, flare, or bell bottom jeans. When I have boot cut, flare, or bell bottom jeans shortened, I lose half the flare of the jean, thus ruining the silhouette of the pant. Can I tell you how annoying and frustrating this can be???

Due to this problem, I often find myself going straight to the Gap and purchasing their jeans in the “short” or “ankle” length. Since the Gap has great prices, this is not really a bag thing. I have to admit, I do get bored of always buying the same brand of jeans! So, I decided to try on a few pairs of petite jeans to see how they would fit.

I am not really sure why I haven’t tried petite jeans before. I already wear petite pants, so why have I not tried jeans?! Why did it take me so long to have this revelation?! Ah, the universe will never know. 😉

I was thrilled when I tried Citizens of Humanity flare jeans in a petite size. They fit perfectly! I have found denim heaven. Not only do these jeans fit perfectly, I do not have to shorten them, and they are soft and comfortable. Love that!

Petite jeans are now going to be my new guilty pleasure. I feel like a kid in a candy store trying on jeans that fit me! Yay! Since I love these petite jeans by Citizens of Humanity so much, I plan to get a few more pairs for the fall season.

What is your favorite line of denim?

Kate Spade skirt for summer

When I first saw this skirt by Kate Spade, I instantly fell in love with it. Not only does it have a fabulous print featuring one of my favorite blue hues, it is lightweight and comfortable; perfect for summer!

The past couple of weeks, temperatures here in the San Francisco Bay Area have been hovering in the high 80’s and low 90’s. This has caused me to to choose an outfit each day which is not only appropriate per occasion, but comfortable in the heat. This skirt has worked perfectly for both meetings and church. Love that! I paired it with a comfortable, and lightweight, basic tee shirt. This has kept me cool in the 90 degree heat, while giving the outfit a summery and carefree look. Double love that!

One of my favorite summer into fall trends is the block heel. I love stacked, and thick high heels because they are easy to walk in. When the heel is thick, I don’t have to worry about teetering and falling, or possibly chasing one of more of kids. I can run in thick heels if I have to! These black suede high heels by Aquazurra are perfect for now, and the fall 2015 season. They fit into the thick heel trend, they are comfortable, and they are suede; a big fall fabrication trend. I know I will be wearing these Aquazurra shoes quite often throughout the remainder of summer and well into the fall season. They not only look amazing with skirts, these shoes are fabulous with flare jeans too! These Aquazurra shoes are great way to wear a fall trend before the start of the fall season. I love being slightly ahead 😉
