Fashion’s Night Out events in the San Francisco Bay Area

Fashion’s Night Out or FNO is taking place on September 8, 2011 and it will be a fashion and shopping extravaganza! Wondering where to go on this special and fabulous day? Here are the Fashion’s Night Out events happening throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Please check back as we will update this page as new events are announced.

  1. Santana Row in San Jose. Santana Row will feature several pop-up fashion shows and Peggy Tanous from Real Housewives of Orange County will be on hand to help celebrate the evening. For more details please click here.
  2. Westfield San Francisco Centre: San Francisco Centre will hold a Fashion’s Night Out cocktail party which will benefit charity organization ArtPointe. There will also be several events and promotions throughout the mall. For more information, please click here.
  3. Macy’s Union Square: Sonja Morgan from Real Housewives of New York City will be on hand to demonstrate how to cook gourmet in a toaster oven. There will also be several fun and fashionable events throughout the evening, please click here to learn more.
  4. Barney’s New York has announced that they will donate 10% of sales from Fashion’s Night Out or FNO to the 9/11 Memorial Fund.  This is the perfect time to shop for fall since a portion of the sales will go directly to the 911 Memorial Fund. Barney’s New York is open from 10am to 10pm on FNO. 
  5. Stanford Shopping Center: Fashion’s Night Out in Palo Alto will take place at Stanford Shopping Center from 5:30pm-8:30pm. Retailers will each be offering their own in-store events and promotions. Please visit Stanford Shopping Center’s Facebook page for details.

New non-profit helps local fashion designers launch their business

There is a new non-profit in town by the name of Fashion Incubator San Francisco at Macy’s Union Square which will nurture and support local fashion designers. This exciting new organization will help keep localfashion designers in San Francisco by giving them local business contacts, tools and resources to help keep their creative juices flowing while launching their business. 

San Francisco has always been on the forefront of the American fashion industry, after all, it is the home of denim pants! Levi Strauss launched the pants that have been coveted by Fashionistas for a century. California Casual? Launched in the San Francisco Bay Area. Business Casual? Launched in the Bay Area by the high tech industry. Oh yeah, the Bay Area ooozes fashion. 
The incubator, also known as FISF, will launch a “Designer in Residence” program to coincide withFashion’s Night Out this upcoming September. This exciting program will house six local designers and give them a premiere workshop space inside of Macy’s Union Square’s offices. This will allow the six lucky designers to grow their business and create their lines while under the mentorship of the program. Love it!

Fashion’s Night Out Events 2010

Fashion’s Night Out 2010 is happening on September 10, 2010. Fashion’s Night Out is a great way for Fashionistas in the Bay Area to shop all of the trends for Fall while enjoying gifts with purchase and/or a party atmosphere. 1) Neiman Marcus on Union Square is hosting a fabulous Fashion’s Night Out party complete with informal modeling, photography and games such as foosball and pool.

2) Neiman Marcus in Palo Alto is hosting a Fashion’s Night Out party which includes appetizers, drinks and a DJ. There will be a runway show on level 2 showing all of the fabulous Fall trends.

Louis Vuitton fans are in for a treat during Fashion Night Out at Neiman Marcus in Palo Alto. Fashionistas can customizes their very own Louis Vuitton Neverful with their personal monogram. Bay Area Fashionistas can further customize the Louis Vuitton Neverful with their choice of color for the handbags’ lining. There are 17 colors to choose from!

3) Trina Turk in Burlingame will be hosting a Fashion’s Night Out party complete with champagne and a gift with purchase. The gift with purchase is a Mum’s word scarf with a purchase of $250 or more.
