Spring 2015 is on the horizon which means this is the perfect time to shop for the upcoming warm weather season! As styles shift towards a 1970’s vintage vibe, I find myself drawn towards accessories and make-up; perhaps because this is quickest way to update one’s wardrobe!

Since I already own flares and trouser jeans, I feel like my casual wardrobe can transition into the new season. What I really need are shoes, a handbag or two, and rose hued make-up! (Beauty spoiler: Rose scents and hues are hot for the spring season!) I also want to find a few knee length a-line skirts with a true 1970’s vintage look. I may also look for one of DVF’s famous wrap dresses to add to my wardrobe. After all, what screams 1970’s more than DVF’s iconic wrap dress!

Although the accessories on my wish list are not all a nod towards the 1970’s, they are on trend for the season and would work with my current wardrobe.

Also on my radar. Have you heard of Charlotte Tilsbury Beach Sticks, pictured above? They sound amazing. Charlotte Tilsbury’s Beach Sticks can be used on both your lips and cheeks. They offer a dewy, beach look. Definitely on my wish list! You can see a demonstration video here.

What is on your radar and wish list for the spring 2015 season?

Chanel Blue Boy nail polish review

Chanel blue boy nail polish

Pictured: Chanel Blue Boy nail polish. Two coats of color, one base coat, no top coat.

Chanel Blue Boy nail polish was originally introduced by Chanel for FNO 2011. I remember when Blue Boy first came out, along with Coco Blue and Blue Rebel. I wanted to get my hands on all three, but alas, they sold out faster than you can say “ring me up!”

When Chanel re-introduced Blue Boy for the winter 2015 season, I was thrilled! Here was my chance to snap up one of the beautiful blue nail polishes from Chanel’s FNO 2011 “Les Jeans Collection.” Chanel Blue Boy nail polish is fabulous! It is a medium denim hue which blends in with any medium-wash denim  you can place your hand next to. It is a casual blue color which offers a cool, slate-like vibe; ideal for any season of the year. Love that!

There are also so many shades of blue which are on trend for the spring 2015 season, this makes Chanel Blue Boy a great color to have in your nail polish wardrobe as move from winter into spring.

I tested out Chanel Blue Boy nail polish with one base coat, two coats of color and no top coat. Chanel Blue Boy lasted a full seven days! Perfection 🙂

Chanel Blue Boy nail polish can be found online here, here and here.

Do you love blue nail polish as much as I do? If so, also check out these beautiful blue hues by Nars and Christian Louboutin.

Voloom hair volumizing iron review

I have the type of hair that lays flat and also gets wavy. The one thing my hair does not have is natural volume. I was thrilled when iFABBO offered me the chance to test out Voloom’s Hair Volumizer. I was hoping this would be the device that gave me full hair.

I tested out Voloom’s Hair Volumizer on my hair. In order to use the device you have to pin up your top layer of hair. This is easy to do since Voloom provides you with clips. The idea is that you use Voloom’s Hair Volumizer on the hair under your top layer of hair. The volumizer works by separating your hairs in a checkerboard pattern which adds volume. After you add volume to your bottom and middle layers of hair, you release the clips and let your top layer of hair fall over your middle and bottom layers of hair.

My hair is quite long and I am overdue for a haircut; so my hair has a lot of weight to it. I used Voloom as directed and did see an increase in volume I was surprised to see an increase in volume in my hair! I look forward to using Voloom every-time I want volume.

Voloom can be found online here.
