I’m so excited to to announce this to you! If you already follow Chicos, SOMA Intimates, and/or White House Black Market, you may already know that the company has partnered with Habitat for Humanity. If not, you will love this!

Chico’s FAS and Habitat for Humanity have empowered women to build strength, stability, and independence through housing. Their amazing partnership has allowed Chico’s to make a difference through financial support and volunteer hours. Since 2001, Chico’s FAS has partnered with Habitat for Humanity in Southwest Florida where they are headquartered.

Chico’s has provided countless volunteer hours and financial support to build 41 homes which have helped families in the Southwest Florida region. For 2018, Chico’s is sponsoring Habitat’s 2018 Women Build program and the company will empower 40,000 women nationally to learn construction and leadership skills while aiding other women with decent, affordable housing. Love this! Through shelter, they empower!

Now the fun part, you can help! Now through May 31, 2018, you can help by making a donation to Habitat at Chico’s, White House Black Market, and SOMA Intimates boutiques nationwide. You can also contribute online at ChicoFAS-cares.com. In addition, a portion of sales from certain products will also benefit Habitat. Love it!

Here are some fun facts:

  • Habitat has helped 3.2 million people since 1976
  • Habitat is the #3 private home builder in the U.S.
  • In a stable home, children are 116% more likely to graduate from college.
  • The stability and security of home-ownership allows families to pursue careers, further their education, and watch their children thrive.

Wide leg floral pants for summer

how to wear floral pants summer wide leg floral pantsmedium chloe nilecasual floral pants summer 2018

wearing: rose gold dangle earrings / lipstick / black twist tee / Chanel nail polish / Chloe Nile / wide leg floral pants (wearing petite) regular online here / black wedge espadrilles (under $100!)

I’m always looking for comfortable pants to wear in the summer months. I love pants which are soft, flowy, and will keep me cool when temperatures soar. These wide leg floral pants are perfect for summer because they are thin enough to not be hot, yet thick enough to drape correctly, and wear well throughout the season after being washed and worn multiple times.

Here in the San Francisco Bay Area, we get fog overnight often during the summer months. This means the early morning, and early evening, can be quite cool. While we enjoy our natural air conditioning, temperatures can soar into the 90’s during the day. Summer pants are perfect for this weather pattern since they are thin enough to wear all day long, and cut the chill when the fog rolls in. Plus, they feel like pajamas! Love that!

Wide leg floral pants are so versatile during the summer months. They can be dressed up with high heel sandals, or dressed down with flat espadrilles. I tend to wear them with either flat espadrilles, or wedges. The more comfort I can pair together, the better! haha

Summer 2018 handbag trends: Straw Bags

summer 2018 handbag trends straw bags

straw bags for summer from top left: watermelon bag / natural and blue straw circle bag / picnic basket bag / box pom pom bag / pink straw circle bag / pink and natural straw satchel / circle sun tote / blue and natural straw tote /

Summer 2018 handbag trends are starting to pour onto store shelves, and city streets. One of the biggest trends in handbags for the summer season happens to be straw bags. This classic beach-side bag started to gain popularity last year alongside the bamboo bag trend. While bamboo bags are still hotter than hot for summer 2018, straw bags are tied for first place.

Straw bags for summer 2018 are so much fun! Instead of a bunch of different natural colored bags, designers are giving us colors, kitschy shapes, and circles! So. Many. Circles! If you haven’t picked up a circle bag yet, this is a great way to get one! A straw circle bag is the ultimate straw bag shape for the summer season, followed by a small tote or satchel.

In addition to shapes, straw bags for summer 2018 are featuring pom poms, tassels, and tied on scarves; which you can style yourself with a favorite scarf from your drawer. You will also find fruit, flowers, stripes, and suns on straw bags this summer 2018 season.

The fun thing about this summer 2018 handbag trend, is that it can be worn both on the street, and the beach; and of course, the pool! Sand particles move in and out of the woven straw, so you won’t come home from the beach with a bag full of sand. They will also survive light rain, and splashes from the pool. Straw bags are quite handy in warm weather!

You can wear a straw bag for summer 2018 with almost any style of warm weather attire. They look fabulous with shorts and flip flops as well as brunch dresses, skirts, and the like. I love a bag that dresses up and down! Plus, they tend to be a lot less expensive then leather bags. Love that!
