As summer winds down and our eyes become accustomed to a fall color palette, it can be a challenge to get dressed in the morning! Here in the San Francisco Bay Area we are seeing cool fog in the morning and warm temperatures in the afternoon. This means we need to wear layers!

I love this beautiful dress from IBISS Boutique located in downtown Willow Glen at 1100 Lincoln Avenue. The 3/4 sleeve dress is made from a lightweight cotton in a beautiful shade of burgundy. The maxi-dress looks like a fall piece yet offers lightweight appeal making it perfect for warm summer days. All I need before the fog burns off is my denim jacket! Love that!

The necklace I wore with the dress is also from IBISS Boutique. I love how it blends perfectly with the stripes. The neutral ivory color is perfect as we move from summer into fall since it can be worn with any color palette, any season, any year! How is that for the perfect investment?!

IBISS Boutique has a huge selection of jewelry which is both on-trend and classic. Their website, MissIbiss.com has a great selection from the store, but of course the store itself has a huge and fabulous inventory which is not to be missed!

If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, please take some time to pop into IBISS Boutique at 1100 Lincoln Avenue in San Jose. You will love the shop! You can also shop a sample of their inventory online atMissIbiss.com. Use code BAF20 to save 20% off your online purchase. (code cannot be used in-store).

Classic black and cream for fall

Black and white is a huge trend for fall; but another combination I am in love with for the cool weather season is black and cream. I love this classic color combination and it feels more understated than black and white; especially in professional settings.

The print on this fabulous pair of pants from San Jose’s IBISS Boutique is funky and I love how this sweaterfrom Banana Republic offsets the print perfectly. The pants are made from an amazing polyester blend which does not wrinkle at all! These pants will be perfect for packing in my suitcase next month when I travel to New York Fashion Week. No ironing = love!

IBISS Boutique has a large selection of prints on pants, skirts, tops and dresses which are on-trend and perfect for transitioning from summer into fall. If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, please take some time to check out this fabulous boutique. You can also shop from the IBISS website at MissIBISS.com. If you use coupon code BAF20 now through October 1, 2013, you can receive a 20% discount! Love that!

Happy shopping, and stay fabulous

Transition to fall: Wallis blazer

DSC1050 DSC1039 DSC1042

Outfit: Earrings: c/o Twisted Silver / Lipstick: c/o Laura Mercier “Sin” / Scarf: Karl Lagerfeld / Blazer: c/o Wallis / Blouse: 7 for all mankind / Jeans: Gap / Handbag: Rebecca Minkoff / Nail Polish: Chanel Bel-Argus / Bracelets: Tory Burch & Beau Bijou / Shoes: Prada

You may remember this Wallis blazer from my previous article about it last week, if not, please click here. When Wallis sent me the blazer, they challenged me to style it for summer and fall. I was happy to take on that challenge since the lightweight material and cool grey color make the blazer perfect for the transition from summer into fall.

For my fall look, I paired the blazer with wine hued coated jeans and an edgy, studded handbag by Rebecca Minkoff. I love the overall look and was happy to have a foggy day over the weekend to actually wear a fall look! The blazer was perfect until the fog burned off in the early afternoon and I had to take it off. The blazer came back on when the sun began to set and the fog was about to roll back into the valley over the Santa Cruz Mountains.

This blazer also comes in black and a  beautiful shade of cobalt blue. I am seriously thinking about getting both! The fabric and style are perfect for the transition from summer into fall. To top it off, the blazer is perfect for the micro-climate’s we have here in the San Francisco Bay Area. After all, it can be 90 degree’s in the south bay in late June, and if you drive into San Francisco, temperatures can drop to 60 degree’s. We all need a lightweight blazer for that!

If you like how I styled this blazer from Wallis, please vote for me in a contest Wallis is holding on their Facebook page. They are looking for a Brand Ambassador for New York Fashion Week! Thank you so much for your support and for being absolutely fabulous!
