Mother’s Day gift guide to Santana Row 2016

Mother’s Day is approaching, this means it is time to think about finding that special something for your fabulous Mom! She has worked so hard for you your entire life, it is time to show her how much you appreciate, and love her, with the perfect Mother’s Day gift!

Santana Row is a fabulous place to go in order to find the perfect gift for Mom this upcoming Mother’s Day. It is also a great place to spend Mother’s Day with your Mom!

Start the day off right with a Mother’s Day brunch at Left Bank, or The Village Cafe; my two favorite brunch spots at Santana Row. After brunch, treat Mom to the fabulous gift you purchased for her right there on the Row! I have a few amazing gift ideas below to help you get your shopping done before the big day 😉

After you give her your gift, why not take Mom shopping! You can include a Santana Row gift card in your gift, or just take her shopping around the Row. After a day of shopping, why not relax at Burke Williams with a spa day! Mom will love it!

Now that Mom is relaxed, why not treat her to a chic dinner at Blowfish Sushi, Cielo, LB Steak, or Straights! After all, she deserves a day off from the kitchen! Now how’s that for an amazing Mother’s Day!

Does Mom like casual clothing, and accessories? Does she enjoy simplicity? Then Lou & Grey is the perfect place to find a gift for her for Mother’s Day!

Lou & Grey is well stocked with casual essentials for spring and summer. In addition to clothing, they have artisan jewelry, gifts, beach-wear, and fabulous nail polishes! I definitely need some of their tee’s in my life; as well as that amazing cuff!

Kate Spade! Yes please! I love Kate Spade’s clothing, shoes, and feminine handbags. I wish I could provide in-store photos for you, but alas, Kate Spade does not allow photography in their stores, so instead, I have included everything I love for Mother’s Day in the scroll bar below.

Mom will love Kate Spade’s kitschy accessories, her timeless handbags, and fabulous shoes! I have my eyes on basically everything! This satchel is a must-have for summer. Mom would love it! Be still my wallet.

Derek Lam 10 Crosby Fragrance Collection gift set c/o Derek Lam

The wait is over! Derek Lam’s new perfume collection, the Derek Lam 10 Crosby Fragrance Collection is here! Not only was it worth the wait, it is heaven scent 😉

The gift set pictured above features ten beautiful fragrances from Derek Lam in travel size, or purse size, spray bottles. Aside from being TSA friendly, the gift set offers you the chance to either give the gift of scent, or treat yourself to all ten of Derek Lam’s new scent’s! I prefer the latter.

Derek Lam’s ten new fragrances were created by famed perfumers Clement Gavarry, Pascal Gaurin, Yves Cassar, and Laurent LeGuernec. They were inspired by the stories, and women, Derek Lam has observed outside his window on 10 Crosby Street. How fabulous, and storied, is that!

There is a scent for everyone in the Derek Lam 10 Crosby Fragrance Collection. In fact, you may find yourself drawn to more than one; or perhaps all ten! I know I am 🙂 Here are the beautiful, key fragrance notes for each scent:

Silent Street: White Musks

Looking Glass: Chinese Magnolia, Tonka Bean Madagascar

Hi-Fi: Pink Peony, French Narcisse

Although all ten of the scents in the Derek Lam 10 Crosby Fragrance Collection are fabulous, my favorites are “2am Kiss,” “Something Wild,” and “Rain Day.” These are the three I find myself reaching for first. I plan to take one with me to New York Fashion Week, but I don’t know which one to choose! I love them all!

The fragrances in the Derek Lam 10 Crosby Fragrance Collection are high quality eau de parfums. The fragrance lasts all day, so there is no need to respray during the day. Love that!

I am looking forward to choosing one of the EDP’s from the Derek Lam 10 Crosby Fragrance Collection for my travel beauty bag when I go to New York later this week; and for future trips! I am also looking forward to enjoying these fragrances on a daily basis. Perhaps my Mom will find a gift set on her brunch chair for this upcoming Mother’s Day 😉 Shhh, don’t tell her! It’s a surprise!

Mother’s Day is coming up faster than fashion trends go out of style. This means the time is NOW to find that perfect gift for Mom! Thankfully, Westgate Shopping Center in San Jose, on the corner of Saratoga Avenue and West Campbell Avenue, has exactly what Mom needs this Mother’s Day. Love that!

Westgate Shopping Center has a large selection of fabulous stores which happen to already be Mom’s favorite places to shop! Westgate is home to Nordstrom Rack, Burlington Coat Factory, The Gap Outlet, J. Crew Factory Store, Famous Footwear, Payless Shoe Source, Target, Michael’s, Ross, Luxury Perfumes, and more! In addition to great shopping, Westgate recently opened a Veggie Grill, and is also home to yummy eateries including Sushi Boat, Smashburger, and Starbucks.

There are so many great gift options for Mom at Westgate, so I picked out a few fabulous gift ideas from four of Westgate’s retailers to get you started.

J.Crew Factory

J. Crew Factory Store is a fabulous one-stop-shop for Mom this Mother’s Day. The store is filled with the perfect outfits for summer; plus it has a large selection of statement necklaces, scarves, handbags, and shoes. We know Mom LOVES shoes! If there are too many choices, Mom will love a gift card from J. Crew Factory Store. As a Mom, I have my eye on several pieces from J. Crew Factory. My picks are shown above.

Does Mom love shoes? Of course she does!!! This means Famous Footwear is the place to find her the ideal Mother’s Day gift. Famous Footwear is well-stocked with fabulous sandals for summer, and athletic shoes for her fitness routine. The store is filled with famous brands at rock-bottom prices. That’s win/win for you and Mom! My favorite shoes from in-store are pictured above. The blue sandals are calling my name; perhaps they are calling your Mom’s name too!

Paradise Collections

Paradise Collections is a fabulous jewelry kiosk located in the middle of Westgate Shopping Center to the left of Ross. The kiosk is filled with beautiful necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings; and the prices are amazing! Mom will be thrilled to receive a fabulous piece of jewelry from Paradise Collections. I am in love with the seahorse. Isn’t it fabulous?!

Luxury Perfumes

Luxury Perfumes is an amazing fragrance shop located near Nordstrom Rack at Westgate Shopping Center. This sweet-smelling shop features a large selection of fragrances which are sure to delight Mom this Mother’s Day. The store features a large selection of gift sets which make shopping for a gift easy. There is also a section dedicated to older fragrances which are extremely difficult to find in department stores, online, and elsewhere. They have Georgio in stock! That was extremely popular in the 1980’s. Mom will be thrilled if you gave her a fragrance she cannot find on store shelves anymore!

In addition to fragrances for Mom, Luxury Perfumes has a large selection of fragrances for men and children. Love that!
