I am always on the hunt for a lightweight, casual skirt I can wear during the spring season. If the skirt can transition into summer, or even fall, it is a huge plus! I am in love with this fabulous skirt by HD in Paris. I bought it for myself on Mother’s Day and cannot stop wearing it! Even if the weather is not quite warm enough for wearing it. 😉

This skirt offers a hem-like hemline which is asymmetrical and flattering. The fabric is lightweight and can easily be worn during the spring, summer, and fall seasons. Love that! Since it is a shimmering chambray, it is easy to wear with almost any color; and easy to pair with different accessories. Another plus!

The fabric does wrinkle easily; which you can see in the photos above. I do not mind the wrinkles since they seem to go with the carefree and casual vibe of the skirt. I had been wearing the skirt for two hours at church before taking these pictures. My seven year old was fidgeting during church and crawling on me. I think the skirt looks pretty good after all that!

I will definitely be reaching for this skirt several days per week this season, and next; and next! It is really comfortable, easy to wear, and flattering. It turned out to be the perfect Mother’s Day gift to myself!

My apologies for not knowing the designer who created the beautiful long necklace I am wearing in these photos. I purchased this necklace about two years ago at an art fair and it is unmarked. If I see the designer again, I will definitely write down his name!

Mother’s Day Gift Ideas at Santana Row

Mother’s Day 2015 is fast approaching, this means it is time to not only buy the ideal gift for Mom, but plan the entire day! Why not spend Mother Day 2015 at Santana Row! You can start the day off with a fabulous Mother’s Day brunch. I highly recommend LB Steak, Left Bank, and Village California Bistro. They have amazing brunch menus for Mother’s Day and the food is always fabulous.

After brunch, why not take a stroll around Santana Row for some shopping, and then enjoy dessert at Cocola. They have an amazing array of sweet treats as well as coffee, tea, and yummy hot cocoa. All of that eating, shopping, and walking can be tiring. This means it is time to treat Mom to something special and relaxing! Why not book a relaxing spa day at Burke Williams!

No Mother’s Day is complete without a fabulous dinner after a relaxing day at the spa. Why not treat Mom to a beautiful dinner at Sino, Straits, or Blowfish Sushi! These three restaurants are personal favorite’s of mine. They offer chic decor, and delicious cuisine. Love that!

Visit SantanaRow.com for restaurant contact information, or OpenTable.com to make both brunch and dinner reservations on Mother’s Day. Santana Row is a hot destination for Mother’s Day (of course!) so you will want to ensure you have a table. 😉

Holiday Hostess Gifts from Santana Row

The holiday party season is upon us, this means you may need to think about bringing a hostess gift to an event you are attending! Although it is common to bring a bottle of wine to an event as a hostess gift, this is really getting boring. Do you want to be that pedestrian? Plus, what if the host does not drink? Wine could actually be a bad gift!

So what is a fashionable party guest to do? Never fear, Santana Row is here! I have partnered with my favorite Bay Area shopping destination to bring you new hostess gift ideas which do not involve alcohol. Love that!

There are so many options when it comes to hostess gifts this holiday season. Scroll down to see my picks from Santana Row for the perfect hostess gift this holiday party season!

Anthropologie

Anthropologie is a fabulous destination for Hostess gifts this holiday season. The store is jam-packed with table top decor, home decor and gift items. For the hostess, why not present her with a warm and cozy blanket she can keep for after the party? The day after she hosts a party she will be tired from all that entertaining and appreciate a new, cozy blanket to snuggle up on the sofa with while she relaxes and reminisces about how she just threw the party of the year.

If a blanket does not seem like your hostess’s thing, why not a personalized mug! Everyone needs a mug, and she will be receiving one she can enjoy hot cocoa in this cold weather season, or wake up to with a warm cup of coffee.

Please visit the Anthropologie store at Santana Row or call 408.249.0436.

C. Wonder

C. Wonder is a fabulous destination for gifts all year long. Therefore, it is only natural that it is a one-stop-shop for gifts this holiday season! In addition to holiday gifts, it is the perfect place to go to find the ideal hostess gift. Since everyone else is bringing wine (yawn), why not bring a bottle stopper? Or a pie stand with a box of cookies from Cocola? Monogram gifts are on-trend this season and these cute little dishes are perfect for the hostess on your list. My picks from C. Wonder are featured above, but there is plenty more in store!

Please visit C. Wonder at Santana Row or call 408.246.1754 for more information.
