I am drawn to any shade of purple, as well as metallics; especially when it comes to nail polish. When I saw “Chrome Violet” nail polish from Estee Lauder I had to give it try.

In the bottle, “Chrome Violet” by Estee Lauder looks like a pewter hue. Not the case when applied! Estee Lauder’s “Chrome Violet” offers a distinct violet hue with pewter undertones which offers a cool tone and an easy color to wear for fall 2013. Love that!

Fall 2013 is all about shades of wine, purple, navy, red, cobalt and neutrals. “Chrome Violet” by Estee Lauder plays well with all of these colors; regardless of their cold or warm undertones. Although “Chrome Violet” looks amazing with silver and pewter colored metals, it does not clash with yellow gold and blends easily with gold-tone jewelry. Perfect!

Estee Lauder’s “Chrome Violet” nail polish applies quickly and very thick. I found I needed to polish each finger quickly or the polish would begin to dry and clump if I ran the brush back over the paint. This was a bit of challenge which resulted in four fingers needing to be redone; it was worth the hassle. “Chrome Violet” nail polish by Estee Lauder only needed one coat of color. The end result is a slightly matte, metallic violet hue which is extremely chip resistant. Love!

I was able to wear “Chrome Violet” nail polish by Estee Lauder for six days before my nails showed growth at the bottom and needed to be repolished. They did not chip at the tips despite some heavy housework!

Estee Lauder nail polish is $20 and can be found online here.

Chanel Mysterious nail polish fall 2013 review

Chanel Mysterious nail polish is one of the three new nail hues from Chanel for fall 2013. This dark brown nail polish offers a slight sparkle which can be seen in the jar. The slight sparkle seen in the jar offers a shiny and subtle result on the nail.

Chanel Mysterious nail polish for fall 2013 is a classic brown nail polish color which works perfectly with autumn’s traditional color palette as well as the huge “print” trend from the runway. Mysterious by Chanel offers the perfect neutral backdrop for fall 2013’s animal prints, berry hues, burgundy shades and more. Love this!

I tested out Chanel Mysterious nail polish for fall 2013 and the polish lasted about one week. I used one base coat and two coats of color. I feel like this is the perfect neutral nail polish for fall 2013; as well as long term. Chanel Mysterious is a great staple, dark brown hue for any nail polish wardrobe. The brown color is rich and timeless. Love!

Chanel Mysterious nail polish for fall 2013 is priced at $27 and can be found online here. Happy shopping, and stay fabulous

Chanel Alchimie nail polish for fall 2013 review

Chanel Alchimie is the new fall 2013 nail polish projected to be the ultimate “IT” polish in nail color this upcoming cool weather season. The hue, which is slightly darker than Pantone’s “Linden Green,” one of the top ten colors for fall 2013, is a traditional autumn shade of green which will work well with the upcoming season’s traditional fall color palette.

Alchimie by Chanel is a slightly sparkling nail polish which could be described as Chanel’s “Peridot” without the gold undertones. Chanel Alchimie is a cool green which will blend easily this fall with shades of brown, mustard, orange and neutral hues. The nail polish itself applies easily in two coats and offers a streak-free finish which is smooth and elegant. Love this!

I tested Chanel Alchimie with one base coat and two coats of color for one week. The polish stayed true to everything which makes Chanel nail polish a huge favorite of mine. Chanel Alchimie managed to stay chip free during the week and only began to crack on the seventh day. At day seven, my nails had grown a little bit and needed to be redone anyway.

Chanel Alchimie is projected to be the “IT” nail polish color of fall 2013. This means if you love the hue, buy it now! Alchimie by Chanel may not last on store shelves through the autumn season. Chanel Alchimie is priced at $27 and can be found online here. Happy shopping, and stay fabulous
