Spring is almost here! This means the weather is starting to change for the better. While we are still getting a bit of rain, temperatures are fluctuating between 35 degrees and 70 degrees. It can be winter in the morning, and spring in the afternoon! When the weather is like this, I like nothing more then to wear something comfortable, easy, and breezy for spring.

I love, love, love this shirt dress by Amour Vert. Is it really comfortable, and perfect for the weather right now as we transition from fall into spring. Although this is a winter dress, it has 3/4 sleeves and a breezy silhouette, this makes it ideal to wear in our current transitional period. Love that!

If you are not familiar with Amour Vert, they are a fabulous fashion brand based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Amour Vert takes special care to ensure their American manufacturing practices are sustainable, have zero-waste, and use of non-toxic dyes. You can read more about their story online here. Love!

I’m looking forward to wearing this shirt tunic often during the spring season. It is so cute worn as a dress, but on cooler days, it can easily be worn over leggings or skinny jeans. Love!

Earth Day 2016

earth day 2016

Happy Earth Day 2016! Today is the day we remind ourselves to be kind to our planet, not just for ourselves, but for future generations.

Take a moment today to evaluate how you are helping our planet in your daily life. Are there ways you can use less water throughout your home? Are there lights on in rooms which are empty? How can we all save energy, water, and reduce our carbon footprint. Can you walk to the post office instead of drive? Can you reuse a plastic bottle instead of throwing it away?

We are always looking for ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle in our home. I know I need to do better when it comes to my plastic bottle usage. I would also love to find out more ways to conserve water; especially since El Nino is over, and La Nina is approaching! Yikes!

If you would like some ideas about how you can help on Earth Day, please visit EarthDay.org.

If you are feeling charitable, please take a moment to look at my favorite environmental charity, The League to Save Lake Tahoe, also know as “Keep Tahoe Blue.” You can find them online at KeepTahoeBlue.org

Since this is a fashion, style, and beauty blog, I thought I would share a few fabulous products with you which use recycled parts to make them beautiful. I hope you love them!

What are some ways you are helping our planet today? Please share your activities and ideas in the comments below!

Thank you for stopping by,

XOXO

Cathy

Quest and Quality SmileSolar solar powered watches are nothing short of amazing! I am in love with my cute, new, Q & Q watch. It has pictures of red and green apples on it, an uber cool watch face, and it is powered by the sun! Eco-Chic = LOVE!

Since wind up watches are a thing of the past, the majority of watches in today’s marketplace are battery powered. When battery-powered watches first came out, they offered the convenience of not having to wind up your watch. This seemed so modern and high-tech at the time! Of course, as time moves forward (pun intended), the battery powered watch is becoming passe, and the solar powered watch is new, now, and cutting edge tech. Isn’t that what we love here in Silicon Valley? Of course!

The Quest and Quality SmileSolar watch is powered by solar. This means you never have to run to the watchmaker, and leave your watch for a week, in order to replace your dead battery. It also means you don’t have to worry about the disposal of said battery, and it’s impact on the environment. Love that!

Not only does the Quest and Quality SmileSolar watch eliminate the need for an eWaste battery, it is made partly from recycled products. Now that’s eco-chic 😉

I have found my Quest & Quality watch to be an extremely accurate timekeeper. Of course, I watched my iPhone time in order to make sure it is keeping time, and it is! I also found it worked even when the sun was not shining. It seems to hold it’s charge for a long time! Love!

I am excited about my Quest and Quality SmileSolar watch and have decided this watch collection is perfect for giving as gifts this holiday season! I cannot wait to surprise my loved ones on Christmas morning with fabulous watches by Quest & Quality.

I would also like to give a shout-out to the faux fur jacket I am wearing in the photos above. It is really soft, warm, and cozy. It is perfect on cold days! I cannot wait to wear it more often this fall, and upcoming winter season. It also comes in ivory, and would make a great holiday gift. It’s under $250!
