Where does the time go? It seems like I was just writing about the fall/winter 2017/18 collections from New York Fashion Week last February; and here we are, looking at spring/summer 2018!

My schedule this season is a little bit crazy; so I am unable to attend the full week of shows at fashion week. Instead, I am flying out a day late, and leaving a little bit early; but don’t despair, I will be squeezing in as many shows as humanly possible in order to bring you the hottest trends from New York for spring 2018! Yay!

My fashion week coverage will start Friday, so watch my social media channels to see what is happening on the runways in New York. It should be interesting to see what spring 2018 will bring to the world of fashion.

Hopefully we will see more ruffles, metallics, bright colors, asymmetrical lines, and fun prints. If resort 2018 has anything to say about spring 2018, there will be stripes, bright colors and prints, shades of red and pink, western/cowboy inspiration, off-the-shoulder tops and dresses, as well as an explosion of athleisure looks. Let’s see if the old adage of resort being a glimpse into spring holds true!

I have packed outfits for fashion week which are both fashion-forward, and comfortable. If you have read my previous fashion week posts, you might remember my constant complaints of tired feet, walking, and standing. I found last September that wearing booties with socks is far more comfortable then killing my feet in cute high heels. This NYFW I will be repeating this trick by wearing booties with socks. You can take a peek at what I packed below:

My fashion week beauty routine is simple and quick. I don’t bother with masks or deep cleaning while I am on the road. I use a one step cleanser on my skin and simple makeup. I will be using both Chanel and Estee Lauder lipsticks for color, my favorite Laura Mercier Caviar eye stick, Chanel blush, Laura Mercier foundation powder, and this fabulous foundation by Estee Lauder. If you are looking for a long-wear foundation which won’t clog pores, dry out skin, or do anything annoying to your face, haha, this is the perfect foundation! I just started using it and I am in love! Check out what’s in my NYFW beauty bag below:

Thank you for stopping by, and stay tuned! I will be seeing a lot of shows, so I cannot wait to bring you my favorite looks from the runways; and at the end of fashion week, I will recap the hottest trends for you!

Which trends are you hoping to see this spring 2018 season? Any trends you hope will disappear and not come back for spring?

XOXO

Chanel Rose Prodigious nail polish review

Chanel Rose Prodigious nail polish review fall

pictured: Chanel Rose Prodigious nail polish

Chanel Rose Prodigious nail polish is a sparkling, cherry red nail polish hue. Don’t let the word “Rose” in the name fool you! This is the perfect holiday red despite the fact that is was introduced in the pre-fall season!

Now, there are many species of red roses on this planet. It is entirely possible that one of those roses is this exact color; but from a nail polish stand-point, this hue is often referred to as cherry red. Chanel Rose Prodigious nail polish might be a classic cherry red, but it is not a common cherry red. This one has a few slight sparkles, and pinkish undertones! These quiet sparkles give Chanel Rose Prodigious nail polish some dimension; making it an interesting, and pretty nail polish color. Love!

If you like cherry red nail polish, and Chanel’s fall nail polish colors are too edgy for you, Rose Prodigious is a great color to wear now, and throughout the fall/winter/holiday season. I am going to keep it for later on in the season. I think it is perfect for the holidays!

You can find Chanel Rose Prodigious nail polish is limited edition and can be found online here. What do you think of the color?

Thanks for stopping by!

XOXO

L’Oreal Pure Clay cleansers and a new mask

loreal pure clay collection review

L’Oreal has added to their Pure Clay Collection! There are three new, clay based cleansers as well as a new mask made from Kaolite, Montmorillonite, Ghassoul, and Seaweed. Love!

The L’Oreal Pure Clay cleansers compliment the three original clay masks introduced by L’Oreal last summer. The cleansers are a great way to enhance the benefits reaped by using the L’Oreal clay masks. They clear up skin, leaving pores clear. They are almost like a mini-facial!

These Pure Clay cleansers by L’Oreal are great to use daily; while I recommend using the matching mask once per week. I usually do my mask on Sunday evenings. My favorite from the collection is the Charcoal Pure Clay cleanser. It really keeps my pores clean; and does a great job removing dirt and impurities.

There is a new mask in town! L’Oreal has added a new mask to their Pure Clay Collection. This blue clay mask combines Kaolinite, Montmorillonite, Ghassoul, and seaweed to create a gentle mask aptly named the “Clear & Comfort Mask.”

This is a gentle mask which is great for soothing skin that might be irritated from the elements, makeup, or bad products. I love using it on a Sunday evening when my skin has had a lot of sun exposure and my SPF failed me a bit; yes, this means when I have a slight sunburn. haha

If you loved the first three Pure Clay masks by L’Oreal, you will love the new Seaweed mask! I hope L’Oreal comes out with a matching Pure Clay cleanser for the seaweed soon!
