Jigsaw London on Fillmore Street in San Francisco held a fabulous shopping event on November 7, 2013 which helped kick off the holiday shopping season. The store was jam-packed with customers shopping for the holidays; as well as themselves!

I was impressed with the delightful treats and champagne which were placed at the front of the store among beautiful clothing and accessories. Not only was I surrounded by a festive atmosphere, I was surrounded by beautiful clothes! Even the décor was amazing. I fell in love with everything hanging on the wall!

Jigsaw London has a beautiful collection filled with Holiday ensembles, dressy attire and daytime looks. I feel in the love with the three dresses shown in the photo above. Of course, one of those dresses came home with me! Which dress do you think I picked? Stay tuned to find out which dress I decided to keep!

If you are local to the Bay Area, please take some time to stop by Jigsaw London San Francisco located at 2121 Fillmore Street. If not, they have a fabulous website at Jigsaw-London.com.

Street Style Trends: The drawstring bucket bag

drawstring bags 2013

From top left: Olive Bag / Black Bag / Tan Bag / Off-White Bag

The hottest handbag style to hit the streets this very minute is the drawstring bucket bag. Beginning in summer 2013, drawstring bags have been popping up on Fashionistas around the globe. Fashion savvy women have been snapping up drawstring bucket bags in both vintage and modern styles which reflect a casual, understated appearance.

Of course anytime there is an “IT” handbag trend, there is an “IT” handbag! The hottest, can’t get your hands on it, handbag of the moment is Mansur Gavriel’s drawstring bucket bag. Priced moderately at $460-$495 depending upon color choice, this drawstring bucket bag has a waiting list which rival’s that of the Hermes Birkin. Yes, it’s true!

Mansur Gavriel’s drawstring bucket bag is available in neutral hues such as black, tan and reddish-brown. The $460 style is a basic drawstring bucket bag which is understated and exudes high quality. The $495 version of Mansur Gavriel’s bucket bag offers a pop of color with a bright interior-these are the most sought-after styles.

Yours truly is on the waiting list for a black drawstring bucket bag by Mansur Gavriel with red interior. My bag was ordered in November and will not arrive until April 2014! Talk about waiting!

Almost every designer and brand on the planet is aware of the drawstring bucket bag trend and has responded. You will be happy to know this handbag style can be found suited for every taste. There are understated drawstring buckets bags, studded versions, color blocked versions and chain laced versions. The majority of the drawstring bucket bags on the market today, and as we move into 2014, are in neutral or basic colors. The idea is to carry a casual, effortless handbag which does not bear a logo.

I found a few fabulous drawstring bucket bags around the web and assembled them into the shopping widget. While Mansur Gavriel may not be included due to the high demand, there are plenty of other options which can be obtained immediately, or may include a small wait.

Happy shopping, and stay fabulous 😉

Chanel Rouge Rubis Holiday 2013 nail polish review

Rouge Rubis 677_1

Photo: Chanel “Rouge Rubis” nail polish for Holiday 2013. One base coat, two coats color.

The holiday 2013 season is almost here! That means Chanel has already given us a holiday red nail polish for the festive season. This year, Chanel has created “Rouge Rubis” nail polish. Chanel “Rouge Rubis” nail polish is a bright, cherry red which works perfectly with winter 2014’s candy colored trend. The red hue from Chanel “Rouge Rubis” is reminiscent of a Maraschino Cherry, as well as a sweet, candied cherry pie. It is not a red for the faint of heart; “Rouge Rubis” is bright and fun!

Chanel “Rouge Rubis” nail polish has the perfect balance between a blue based red and an orange based red. “Rouge Rubis” plays well with both sides of the color spectrum making it an easy color to wear on a daily basis. I tested Chanel “Rouge Rubis” with one base coat and two coats of color; no top coat. The polish wore off the edges of the top of my nails within two days, but after the initial rub off on the edges, “Rouge Rubis” did not chip or flake for seven days. Love that!

“Rouge Rubis” by Chanel is a great cherry pie red for the holiday 2013 season, as well as for the nail polish guru who loves red! Chanel “Rouge Rubis” nail polish is a fun red; much less serious than the red nail polish hues Chanel has produced over the past few holiday seasons. I love the playful nature of a cherry red and the fact that it does not chip easily is a huge bonus!

Chanel “Rouge Rubis” nail polish is priced at $27 and can be found online here.
