I love the cooler weather we have been enjoying this month. I bought this turtleneck sweater about a month ago, and am thrilled to be able to finally wear it! I love how classic and cozy turtleneck sweaters can be!

This turtleneck sweater will be a workhorse for me this fall season; and into the winter season! I love how it looks with skirts, skinny jeans, and flare jeans. It also looks amazing with my black culottes for dressier looks. You can see my culottes styled here.

Since I love this turtleneck sweater so much, I have decided I need one more in my wardrobe this season to keep cozy! I am looking at this red one, and this neutral one. Which one do you like?

I would also like to chat just a bit about these booties! I bought them back in August, and have been waiting for cool enough weather to wear them. I love fringe booties for fall, and this pair fits the bill. The fringe is playful and fun; I love how it moves when I walk! The suede is soft; which helps to make them extremely comfortable, and easy to to walk in! Perfect for long days at the mall during the holiday shopping season!

These fringe booties have been so comfy, I have considered getting them in black too. It can be hard to find comfortable shoes, so when I do find them, I try to stock up!

Winter 2015 is fast approaching; this means it is time to think about sweaters! I love sweaters in the cold winter months. They are cozy, soft and comfortable. But, just because they can be softer than a baby blanket, does not mean we have to sacrifice style to be comfy, cozy and warm!

Thankfully, for winter 2015, designers have created beautiful and sassy sweater styles to keep us warm, cozy and fabulous! Love that! There are four distinct trends in sweaters for the winter 2015 season for us to watch for, and wear; waterfall sweaters, ponchos, chunky turtlenecks and embellished pull-overs. While waterfall cardigans and ponchos tend to be casual, turtlenecks and embellished pull-overs can easily be worn casually with jeans, or spiced up with leather leggings for a night out on the <freezing!> town.

My favorite sweater trend for the winter 2015 season is the waterfall sweater. I love how waterfall sweaters drape, and they are not too warm; which is ideal for our moderate winter weather here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Of course, I do not spend my entire winter season basking in the 60 degree weather of the Bay Area; which I can be found whining about because to me it is cooooold! So, for trips to Tahoe or other cold weather places, I love chunky turtlenecks.

The cold weather is upon us, and that means it is sweater time! The fall/winter 2013/2014 runways were ripe with chunky and funky cable knit sweaters for the cool weather season. Cable knit sweaters are being shown in every style imaginable from classic fit with long sleeves to short sleeved to asymmetrical to everything in between! This is not the season for a frumpy, body hiding sweater. Cable knit sweaters are flattering for winter 2014 and will definitely show off your personal style. Love that!

Since cable knit sweaters are also a classic, cold weather style, this is a great season to stock up on the styles you love. Investment colors include every shade of brown, tan, cream, white, black, navy and shades of red, blue, green and purple. If you are feeling more daring and do not mind a one-season sweater, look for multi-colored knits or bright and unexpected colors such as fuchsia and sunshine yellow.

This winter 2014 season, you can wear cable knit sweaters with more than just denim, khaki’s and corduroy. Cable knit sweaters look amazing with pencil skirts for the office or lunch, flirty ballet skirts, leather skirts, leather pants, lace skirts, lace pants, brocade bottoms and sequins skirts! Winter 2014 is all bout mixing unexpected textures, so go ahead and wear a cable knit sweater with a formal sequin skirt and boots. It will look fresh and modern for winter 2014 😉 Love that!
