Shoe trends for spring 2017 are crystal clear; slides, mules and Adidas sneakers. When the occasion calls for something dressier then sneakers, you will need slides for spring 2017, or a pair of mules for the season.

Slides and mules have been sneaking into fashion for the past three years. It is in the spring 2017 season that they have taken the streets by storm; leaving little room for any other shoe style!

Since shoes are being shown highly embellished, tied in bows, denim, printed with patterns or stripes, and in classic solid color styles for spring 2017, there is a style of slides or mules for every taste, occasion, and comfort level. Love that!

It does not matter if you like flats, heels, covered toes, open toes, leather, fabric, suede, or other, there is a style of slides, or mules, out there for you this spring season. There is no wrong slide or mule on the market! Anything goes, as long as your shoe is backless. Love!

Mules and slides were on the spring runways in New York for the spring and summer seasons. Not only were they on the catwalk, they made it to the streets quickly! It seems as though everyone has at least one pair of slides or mules this season. If you are wondering what to add to your closet for spring, I would recommend one pair of black mules, a light colored pair of slides, and a third pair in a fun print for spring. This will give you two basic options to wear with almost anything, and one fun pair for spicing up a neutral outfit or jeans with a tee.

These are my absolute favorite slides for spring 2017 and mules for the year. (mules will carry you into fall and winter!!). From top left: street style black slide (very NYFW) / Gucci Princeton (hot IT shoe-get it while it is in stock!) / embellished mule (great style for under $100!!) / striped slides (two trends in one!) / Gucci Marmont slides (hot IT shoe) / slides with tassels (these are so cute and under $110!-on my wish list!!) / multi-colored striped mules (three spring trends in one!!) / black mules (I have these in beige, pictured above, super comfortable-love!!) / black studded mules (so cute and under $175!!)

Slides for spring, and mules for the year, are such great shoe styles to invest in now. They are comfortable, and fun to wear. I am in love with all of the pairs pictured in the collage above; I wish I could fit them all in my closet!! Which pair is your favorite? Have you jumped on the slides for spring trend yet? Did you grab a pair of mules yet? Mules will carry you into fall; good long-term shoe shoe investment for the year!

Stripes for spring 2017

The spring season is here! This means it is time to start rocking those spring trends! The biggest trend from the New York Fashion Week runways for spring/summer 2017 was stripes. Designers showed everything from apparel to handbags to shoes with stripes. Stripes were shown in multi-color designs, varying sizes, asymmetrical, and mixed together. No two stripes were alike!

While some may argue stripes are merely a classic spring nautical trend, one cannot ignore that stripes for spring 2017 are not your average spring stripe! Stripes for spring 2017 are cutting-edge, fresh, and taking us in an entirely new direction. This is trend a to have fun with, mix up, and enjoy for spring! Love that!

Stripes are such a fun trend for the spring 2017 season. You can wear your stripes on your clothing, at the beach, on your shoes, or adorned on your handbag. If you simply cannot choose, you can wear your stripes anywhere you please! This season is all about mixing things up, wearing a lot of different colors, and wearing stripes alone or paired together. Stripes on stripes on stripes!!! Love!

Here are few of my favorite clothing options for spring 2017 adorned in glorious stripes!

There are so many options for wearing stripes this spring 2017 season. It is so hard to choose!

If head to toe stripes is not your thing, there are other ways you can rock the stripes trend for spring 2017. If you want to be quiet with your stripes, you can always wear a fabulous pair of shoes with overt, or discreet stripes. Here are a few of my favorite striped shoes for spring 2017.

I really love the sneakers shown above; I have the same pair! On my wish list for spring is a pair of striped espadrilles. One of the options shown above will eventually end up in my closet for spring. But which to choose?!

Another fun way to rock the stripes trend for spring 2017 is by wearing a striped handbag. You can wear a small, everyday bag with multi-color stripes, or go for something a bit bigger such as a beach bag, or tote. Here are a few of my favorite striped handbags for spring 2017 from around the web.

Lastly, stripes are incredibly fun at the beach or poolside. Here are a few fabulous swimsuits, beach towels, and poolside accessories which can be taken to the beach or the pool this spring, and also summer, seasons. Love!

There you have it! The most important fashion trend of spring 2017 is the striped trend! If you invest in one trend for spring, be sure to invest in stripes. This trend was also on the fall 2017 runways, so it is not fleeting; it has some staying power! How will you wear stripes this spring 2017 season?

Bridge & Boro denim at New York Fashion Week

Wearing: ivory tassel earrings / Chanel spring lipstick / pink and silver jacket (under $200!) / denim short c/o Bridge & Boro / Alexander McQueen scarf / black tee (old, also love this one) / jeans c/o Bridge & Boro / Gucci belt / Givenchy handbag / Kendra Scott ring / Chanel spring nail polish / black socks / silver velcro street sneakers

On day three of New York Fashion Week, I went for a NY street style look. So many NYFW attendees wear denim; it is fun to see how they make it fabulous! I decided it was my turn to wear denim, and amp up my casual style into something street style worthy. I could not have done it without these fabulous denim pieces from New York denim brand Bridge & Boro.

Bridge & Boro makes the most fabulous denim pieces! They have limited edition pieces made from scarce denim fabric, as well as standard pieces in their collection with a timeless quality. The company is family owned and run; and the collection is made in New York!

It is extremely difficult to fit my body into jeans. I have always had a waist size much smaller than my hips and thighs. This is a problem many women have; let’s face it, we are hourglass for a reason! The majority of denim companies out there make their jeans for men, and then size them down for women without re-working them to actually fit a woman’s body. Bridge & Boro just fits. The jeans are made for women. The result is a flattering fit which will look amazing on most women. Love that!

In addition to a women’s denim collection, Bridge & Boro offers denim for men; which is just as fabulous as the women’s collection. Love! I definitely need to get a pair for my hubby!

Denim on denim is a huge trend this year. Although it has been going strong for the past couple of years, denim is bigger than life for spring 2017. Designers are showing it on everything from clothing to accessories. This is the perfect season to rock the denim on denim trend; and invest in some fabulous denim pieces!  For your perfect denim this spring, check out Bridge & Boro at bridgenboro.com.

It was fun wearing this outfit on day three of fashion week. I was snapped by several street style photographers outside the show. Here is a fun photo by fabulous street style photographer Denton Taylor:

Denton Taylor snapped this picture outside The Skylight Clarkson when I was on my way to my first show of the day; Asia Fashion Collection by Vantan. In addition to Asia Fashion Collection, on day three I went to Taoray Wang, Romeo Hunte, Yuna Yang, CG by Chris Gelinas, A Detacher, Georgine, and Francesca Liberatore. In addition to shows, I attended a fun blogger brunch hosted by Twiirly and Amour Vert. You can read about it here.

I am looking forward to wearing this denim on denim look by Bridge & Boro often this upcoming spring season; minus the jacket and scarf. It will look cute with slides, or high heel sandals. The pieces will also look fabulous worn with other items from my closet. They are so versatile and fabulous! Love!
