Pink is here to stay! At least for now. . .

Pink for summer 2017 has taken on many forms for the warm weather season. While the runways gave us blush, aka “Pale Pink,” aka “Millennial Pink” (why do they get their own color?), and also bright pink; the streets have given us pink in every shade imaginable. Seriously though, why does the Millennial generation have their own color? If they get their own color, those of us in GenX should have our own color too! Right?? Ugh, but I digress, we are chatting about pink for summer 2017.

Designers showed pink in every way, shape, and form, for the warm weather season.  This means, we can rock the pink trend through apparel, accessories, and/or beauty products. Love that!

pink beauty products: lipstick / bright pink nail polish / medium pink nail polish

Of course pink nail polish is an easy way to rock the pink trend everyday of the week without having to think about incorporating pink into our wardrobes. As pretty as pale pink nail polish is for summer, I prefer medium and bright pink hues. When it comes to lipstick, any shade of pink looks amazing in my humble opinion.

Although designers have been steering towards mirrored silver accessories as we move into 2017, rose gold is still relevant and on trend. Rose gold is amazing because it blends with any shade of pink; or works as a way to rock the pink trend if you don’t want to actually wear pink. There is also something fresh about rose gold since it has not been as on trend as it is right now, in a few decades. This could be why I am so drawn to rose gold. Addicted!

modest summer outfits

Of course, the most obvious way to rock the pink for summer 2017 trend is to wear it! You can see this outfits details here. I love mixing all shades of pink for summer, it has a feminine and light look to it which is fabulous on hot days.

Leopard print for summer 2017

wearing: leopard print pumps (I have owned these for several years, they are a classic! They are really comfortable and perfect every fall season-and this summer too!)

Can you believe it? Leopard print is hot for summer! This classic fall trend is arriving early this year, and turning into one of the hottest trends for the summer 2017 season. Meow!

Leopard print can be found on almost anything you can imagine. The best way to wear it is all over! Look for fabulous swimwear, dresses, tops, pants, jumpsuits, rompers, and accessories. Like I said, on almost everything!

from top left: leopard print tank top (On my wish list and under $200) / animal print sunglasses (under $100!) / leopard print scarf (only $30!!) / espadrilles (these are so cute, totally on my wish list for summer!) / fold-over clutch (popular bag with staying power under $300) / leopard print twist slides (IT shoe alert!) / leopard print layered skirt (so cute!)

The items highlighted above are my favorite leopard print items from around the web. They are great to wear now, throughout the summer, and into early fall. The skirt, twist slides, and clutch are ideal to well through summer and fall; they work in any weather!

Leopard print is a classic trend, but seeing it for summer 2017 is a treat! What do you think of wearing leopard print one season early this year? Is this a trend you plan to follow? Or will you wait until fall to rock the animal print trend?

Pink ruffle sleeves on a cool spring day

Wearing: Kendra Scott earrings / YSL lipstick / pink ruffle top c/o SheIn (under $20!!) / Chanel spring nail polish / watch c/o Welly Merck (use code BAF20 to save 20%) / rose gold ring / boyfriend jeans (similar here) / tote c/o Boutique Mexico /  suede slides c/o Donald J Pliner

One of the biggest trends this year is tiered ruffle sleeves. Ruffle sleeves seem to be everywhere for spring; despite the fact that they did not dominate the runways. This has turned into a trend which is well-loved by the street; unlike most street style trends, this is a flirty and feminine style trend. Love it!

I was thrilled to find this cute pink top with tiered ruffle sleeves for the spring season. Not only does it cost under $20, it is right on trend. The fabric is easy to to iron and stays wrinkle-free after ironing. I ironed this top, and then wore it  to run errands for about three hours before my daughter snapped these pictures; and it looks great! Love that!

Isn’t this tote bag cute?! There is a huge trend right now towards couture from Mexico. It is one of the hottest up-and-coming regions for hand-made fashion. This tote was hand-made in Talum, Mexico. I have a full review of this tote and the company coming up on the blog this Friday-so stay tuned!

If you are looking for a graduation gift, Mother’s Day gift, Father’s Day gift, or a gift for yourself, check out this Welly Merck watch. You can save 20% off your purchase with coupon code BAF20. My full review is online here.

Back to this tiered ruffle sleeve top, I have fallen in love with this spring trend. I know I will find myself wearing this top often this spring; and on cool summer days when the fog rolls in over the Santa Cruz Mountains. You can find this fun and flirty top for under $20 online here.
