Chanel Bleu Trompeur nail polish review

Chanel bleu trompeur nail polish spring 2018

Well, you know, I’m a sucker for anything blue! Chanel released four spring 2018 nail polish colors mid-season, and this new blue one caught my eye. It’s a light navy color, which fits perfectly into spring’s classic color palette.

Over the years, Chanel has released plenty of versions of navy blue nail polish. This isn’t a ground-breaking, or earth-shattering, color; but it is a really pretty navy blue. It isn’t a super dark navy, like Chanel typically releases in the fall season. Bleu Trompeur nail polish is a medium navy blue, which is lighter then other navy colors in Chanel’s nail polish line.

I tested out Chanel Bleu Trompeur nail polish for spring 2018 with one base coat, and two coats of color. I did not use a top coat. I have found that Chanel nail polish doesn’t really need a top coat anymore; since the release of their longwear collection a few years ago. Like with other Chanel colors, Bleu Trompeur is long lasting, and gave me a week before chipping. Love that!

If you are looking for a neutral yet non-conservative nail color this spring 2018 season, then Chanel Bleu Trompeur nail polish is for you! Navy is an easy color to wear with all color groups from the spring palette. Since Blue Trompeur isn’t a classic pink or red hue-yet it still acts like a neutral color while it gives off a playful, avant-garde vibe; which is a great way to to be neutral, without wearing a neutral. Love it!

What do you think of this color for spring? Will you be rocking it? Or do you prefer more of a classic hue such as pink or red?

Denim on denim spring 2018

OK, so my daughter took these photos the other day after lunch, and she kept telling me how pretty my bag was! The first thing she said when she saw it was “it’s a mermaid bag!” Yup! She thinks the color and sheen look like the ocean, and the stamped croc looks like seashells. She asked if she could have the bag, and when I said no, she said she was going to buy herself one. haha, so cute!

She was also smitten with my tee. You can’t tell in the photos, but it has sparkles! This tee is such a fun way to be casual and comfy this spring season. I plan on wearing this tee all the time!

When it comes to wearing denim on denim for spring 2018, I love to mix contrasting denim hues. Denim this season is embellished, colorful, and being shown in acid wash; raise your hand if you used to wear acid wash jackets and jeans back in the day! My hand is so far up, I hit the light fixture!

I don’t always go for denim on denim, but when it is done in contrasting washes, or colors, I love how it looks. Plus, denim is so comfortable without looking sloppy; like worn-in sweatpants. Love it!

Denim on denim isn’t exactly a trend anymore. It seems to be something which has been around for over five years now, and doesn’t show any sign of going away. What do you think of denim on denim? Is this a look you like to wear?

Greenspiration for St Pat’s Day 2018

From top left: green and gold earrings / green dress / green sunglasses / green satin bag / green satin pumps /

It’s almost here! St. Patrick’s day is a mere five days away, are you armed with something green to wear? The last thing you want to do is get caught not wearing green on St. Patrick’s Day! You know those pesky little Leprechaun’s will be out in full force looking for non-green-wearing folk to pinch on St. Patrick’s Day! And let me just tell you, getting pinched hurts! Ouch!

Thankfully, green is showing up in three forms for the spring 2018 season. Traditional emerald green, mint green, and military green. I highly recommend not trying to pass military green off as green on St. Pat’s Day. Those pesky little Leprechaun’s like to call it a form of brown, just so they can pinch you! They aren’t exactly a fashion-forward group of people. It’s best to stick with emerald or apple green. If you just can’t wear it, go for mint. Mint is a little bit more convincing. Yes, I do speak from experience! haha

If you are shopping for spring 2018, this is a great time to pick up something green for both St. Patrick’s Day, and the spring season. Green is a candy color, and candy colors are hot this season!

I scoured the web for fashion forward, and pinch-resistant, green items you can wear on St. Pat’s Day, and throughout the spring season. I hope you love them!
