OK, so my daughter took these photos the other day after lunch, and she kept telling me how pretty my bag was! The first thing she said when she saw it was “it’s a mermaid bag!” Yup! She thinks the color and sheen look like the ocean, and the stamped croc looks like seashells. She asked if she could have the bag, and when I said no, she said she was going to buy herself one. haha, so cute!
She was also smitten with my tee. You can’t tell in the photos, but it has sparkles! This tee is such a fun way to be casual and comfy this spring season. I plan on wearing this tee all the time!
When it comes to wearing denim on denim for spring 2018, I love to mix contrasting denim hues. Denim this season is embellished, colorful, and being shown in acid wash; raise your hand if you used to wear acid wash jackets and jeans back in the day! My hand is so far up, I hit the light fixture!
I don’t always go for denim on denim, but when it is done in contrasting washes, or colors, I love how it looks. Plus, denim is so comfortable without looking sloppy; like worn-in sweatpants. Love it!
Denim on denim isn’t exactly a trend anymore. It seems to be something which has been around for over five years now, and doesn’t show any sign of going away. What do you think of denim on denim? Is this a look you like to wear?
New York Fashion Week for fall/winter 2017/2018 went by fast for me this year. I only attended four days due to my children’s schedules. I would have loved to stay in New York longer and have been able to attend more shows, but my family comes first. That being said, I was thrilled to be able to go for four days and see all of the shows that I attended.
Here is a journal, or recap, of my four days at New York Fashion Week for the fall/winter 2017/2018 collections. These photos feature my favorite look from each runway, or a final walk video from my iPhone. (apologies for iPhone video quality-the lighting from my seat wasn’t always optimal for me to captures still photos) If I wasn’t able to capture a photo, or a video, I have provided professional photos for you.
Stay tuned! I have plenty of trend reports and runway recaps coming up soon!

RtA held a cool presentation with a downtown vibe for fall/winter 2017/2018 at Industria Studios in New York during New York Fashion Week on February 10, 2017. The outfits were casual chic; with jackets and coats which gave off a boyfriend vibe. The collection was effortless, cool, and something to covet for fall. Love!
I fell in love with every coat and jacket in the collection. The striped turtleneck RtA features for fall is a must-have too. There were also overalls, a huge street style trend right now, and RtA made them fabulous.
You can get your hands on RtA’s current collection online here. Look for it this fall online here too! I plan on getting the turtleneck, followed by a few of these fabulous coats as soon as they hit the stores! Love!
