As a fan of Christian Louboutin nail polish, I was smitten when I heard the iconic footwear designer was launching a line of lipsticks. As soon as Christian Louboutin’s lipstick collection hit store shelves, I scoured the collection for the perfect first tube; the Christian Louboutin Sheer Voile Lip Colour.

Of course I would pick a sheer lipstick! I am a bit of a sheer lipstick addict. I prefer sheer lip colors over mattes and creams. I love a touch of color which mixes in with my natural lip to create a shade that matches my complexion. Sheers tend to do exactly that!

Since the fall season was nearing when Christian Louboutin launched his lipstick collection, I decided to purchase a lip color which would fit perfectly into the autumn season. Private Number fit the bill!

Christian Louboutin Sheer Voile lip colour in Private Number is a medium brown lipstick. This color blends well with fall’s color palette, and offers a neutral hue which is easy to wear with everything. Love that!

Private Number has turned out to be a fabulous color! I find myself reaching for it everyday. This lip hue works well both day and night; making it quite versatile.

As someone who purchases sheer lipsticks about 75% of the time, I have tried a LOT of sheer lipsticks. Christian Louboutin Sheer Voile Lip Colour is a fabulous sheer. It has more pigment than most sheers, almost offering cream-like coverage; of course, without the stickiness of a cream, or thickness of a cream.

Christian Louboutin Sheer Voile Lip Colour acts like a sheer, feels like a sheer, and yet offers thicker color coverage than your average sheer. I love having Private Number as an alternative to Chanel’s Melancholie for fall; another favorite sheer of mine. While the two colors are similar in the tube, Chanel’s sheer lip color is much more sheer than Christian Louboutin’s sheer lipstick. This gives me the choice of an ultra sheer, versus an almost cream sheer. Love that!

Christian Louboutin Sheer Voile Lip Colour is also moisturizing. I did not need to apply any lip balm or chapstick underneath the lipstick; nor at any time during the day when I have worn this lipstick.

One heads up if you plan to travel with a lipstick by Christian Louboutin. I had mine in my carry-on for my flights to and from New York for fashion week. When I went through control at JFK, I was stopped and pulled aside for a bag inspection. Turned out they thought my Christian Louboutin lipstick was a weapon! It was quite humorous when they discovered it was just lipstick! So, if you check a bag, you might want to throw Christian Louboutin’s lipstick into your checked bag, instead of your carry-on; unless you are up for a little adventure!

 I have fallen in love with Christian Louboutin Sheer Voile Lip Colour in Private Number. I am looking forward to adding more colors to my lipstick wardrobe each season from his sheer voile collection. I’m in love!

Tom Ford Viper nail polish for fall 2015

Tom Ford nail polish is one of my favorite nail lacquers. It is long lasting, and comes in the most amazing colors. So when Tom Ford released his fall 2015 beauty collection, I had to get my hands on his fall 2015 nail polish color, Tom Ford Viper.

Tom Ford Viper nail polish appeared to be a deep, dark purple when I looked at it in the bottle. When I began applying the first coat, Viper by Tom Ford took on more of a deep, pinkish burgundy hue. A chameleon nail hue! Love that!

I applied one base coat, two coats of color, and one top coat. I have noticed that Tom Ford Viper nail polish looks like burgundy in artificial light. In the sunlight, it has more of a purplish-burgundy hybrid look, and under florescent lighting, it has a dark, pinkish purple look. Very cool 😉

Tom Ford nail polish is very strong. It is chip-resistant and scratch-resistant. I was able to wear Tom Ford Viper for eight days before removing it. I removed it because my nails grew and I don’t like the look of growing out nails.

With Marsala as the color of 2015, nail polish hues which blend well with shades of red, burgundy, and traditional autumn hues, are the ideal colors for nails. Tom Ford Viper nail polish fits this bill with it’s burgundy and purple undertones. Love that!

Tom Ford Viper nail polish will also transition well into the winter season. The winter season has the same color palette as the fall season; with the exception of the holiday season which will feature more bright red than the rest of winter. Tom Ford Viper will blend perfectly with the holiday red’s, and winter’s shades of red, neutrals, and winter whites.

Chanel Fraicheur nail polish review

Chanel Fraicheur nail polish is a limited edition nail polish color released by Chanel in early fall. This shiny, mint green nail polish hue is playful, and a fun way to transition into fall from late summer.

The shiny mint green color of Chanel Fraicheur blends well with fall 2015’s neutral color palette; as well as autumn’s deep green hues. The pretty color brightens up dark or drab fall attire. Love that!

Chanel Fraicheur nail polish is also a playful color for the last few days of summer this year. It works perfectly with bright summer attire, and offers a contrast to the dark nail polish hues, and blue nail polish shades, which are so “of the moment.”

I tested out Chanel Fraicheur nail polish with one base coat, two coats of color, and one top coat. It lasted eight days before I needed to remove it due to nail growth. Love that!

My top coat deserves some credit for the chip-free test run of Chanel Fraicheur nail polish. It really was the star of the show! My review of this fabulous top coat is online here.

Chanel Fraicheur nail polish is limited edition. It is a great color to wear now, and again, when resort 2016 hits in late December, early January. This beautiful mint green hue will also brighten up a dreary winter day in December, January, or February!

For resort 2016, many designers are showing vivid colors, pastel hues, and muted tones. One of the more popular colors being shown for resort 2016 is mint green. Chanel has also included mint green in the resort 2016 color palette. This makes Chanel Fraicheur nail polish a fabulous color to invest in right now.
