I’m loooo-vviiiiiing this denim skirt! It’s so much fun to wear, and since it’s denim, it goes with pretty much everything in my closet. It was a bit of s splurge, but worth every penny. It’s so perfect for fall! When the weather cools down in the winter season, it will be fun to wear it with knee boots too. Can’t wait!

I wore this denim skirt at fashion week as part of a western inspired look. The western trend is still hot, so it was fun to put together a look inspired by the trend. This skirt also has a 70’s vibe to it, so it will be fun to put together a more retro look with it later in the season.

Puff sleeves are huge this season, as you already know, so having an affordable, black puff sleeve top in my fall wardrobe is turning into a godsend. It goes with everything, and automatically adds a trendy vibe to any outfit. It look great with jeans and boots too! But I am sure you already guessed that 😉

I went with an 80’s vibe for this look. The big door knocker earrings paired with the puff sleeves made me want to binge watch old episodes of “Dallas.” haha I stop at the hair tho, that can stay in the 80’s. haha

Mixing decades for fall 2019

One of the runway trends which has inspired my daily outfits is mixing decades. Designers for fall 2019 took inspiration from several decades, two of which were the 80’s and 70’s. These are two decades I am feeling right now, so my fall wardrobe has several pieces inspired by both.

This top has a very 80’s vibe with puff sleeves and a flashy animal print. I originally purchased it to wear to fashion week, but I also knew it would be fun to wear back home too. As you can see, I have already been wearing it! I paired this fun blouse with 70’s style bootcut jeans for a mixed decade look. Overall, it feels more 70’s than 80’s, but it still offers vibes from both decades.

Golden Triangle restaurant in downtown Los Gatos

I wore this look last week while exploring downtown Los Gatos with my Mom. Although a Bay Area native, she had never really walked around downtown Los Gatos before! So I took her for a little tour, and treated her to lunch at my favorite Thai restaurant in Silicon Valley, Golden Triangle. Aside from the fabulous interior and beautiful presentation, the food is absolutely delicious! If you are local, be sure to check it out; even my picky children love it!

It was fun showing my Mom around, especially since she has been showing me around for my whole life! It was fun to switch roles for once! I even showed her how to use my little Canon camera so she could snap these photos of my mixed decade look. I think she did pretty well for her first time!

Pleated skirts for fall 2019

pleated skirts fall 2019 sneakers with a skirt casual pleated skirt

wearing: sunglasses / square hoop earrings / lipstick / black puffy sleeve top (under $100) / green printed, pleated skirt (under $100) / nail polish / PVC tote / Gucci sneakers /

There is nothing like a pleated skirt to get me twirling on the street, in public! haha

When I first spotted this asymmetrical hem, pleated skirt, I was hooked. Not only was it priced well under $100, it had an asymmetrical hemline which set it apart from all the other pleated skirts for fall 2019 in stores right now.

Pleated skirts were huge a few seasons ago, and for the fall 2019 season, they’re back! I love a good pleated skirt because they offer a soft a-line silhouette which is flattering on almost anyone. They are also easy to dress up or down. This skirt will look amazing later in the season with high heel booties. Of course at fashion week, I took the comfortable route, and paired it with these walkable sneakers.

Can I give this top a shout-out too? It’s priced well under $100 and it’s the perfect black top for the fall season. It goes with anything-because it’s black, haha. It also boats on-trend puff sleeves which are a must this autumn. I can’t wait to wear it with everything in my closet! Well, all my bottoms of course, can’t pair it with any tops 😉 haha
