Atelier Cologne is one of my favorite fragrance companies; and when it comes to florals, rose is hands-down my favorite floral fragrance note. So, when I spotted Atelier Cologne Rose Anonyme, I knew it had to be my new rose-based scent!

Like all Atelier Cologne fragrances, Rose Anonyme is so fresh, it seems as if the fragrance was created and mixed together the same day you spray it on your wrist. No other fragrance company smells this fresh! The perfume concentrate is 18%, which is the reason Rose Anonyme by Atelier Cologne is so luxurious. This concentrate is extremely high for the industry, and allows the fragrance to be long lasting, fresh, and offer a true, complex fragrance experience.

Top notes: Bergamot from Calabria, Ginger from China, Turkish Rose Essence

Middle Notes: Turkish Rose Absolue, Incense from Somalia, Velvet Oud Accord

Base notes: Patchouli rom Indonesia, Papyrus from India, Benzoin from Laos

Atelier Cologne Rose Anonyme starts off with a ginger laced scent. After about thirty minutes, the ginger softens and the rose cycles through a soft yet exotic fragrance experience. The patchouli in the base adds a soft yet spicy undertone, which is nothing short of exquisite.

I am in love with Atelier Cologne Rose Anonyme Cologne Absolue, and cannot wait to wear it often. The overall fragrance experience is ideal in warm, hot, and moderate weather. Since the scent is medium, it can be worn in tight quarters such as the office or theater. The complex nature of the scent allows it to be worn for formal events, yet the rose heart, gives the scent daytime appeal. This makes Atelier Cologne Rose Anonyme Cologne Absolue the perfect day-into-evening scent; especially on a summer day!

Top five rose fragrances for spring summer 2015

rose fragrances perfumes for spring summer 2015 trend

Rose is the fragrance note of the moment. This means, rose-based fragrances are hotter than hot for the spring and summer 2015 seasons. If you love sweet florals, this is the season for you!

Rose scents offer a sweet floral fragrance experience which is easy to wear on a daily basis. Rose is not an overbearing fragrance note; making it inoffensive to most people. Rose based scents can easily be worn to the office, in the theater, and on warm days. Rose is a versatile fragrance note which works well under cold, moderate, and warm temperatures. Although normally associated with spring and summer, rose can easily be worn in the fall and winter months due to the warmth of its’ natural scent.

Although there are many rose-based scents on the market which offer classic, sweet floral fragrance experiences; spring and summer 2015 are offering new, more exotic mixes of the popular fragrance note. Victor & Rolf are offering a special edition of their popular “Flowerbomb” fragrance infused with rose as the heart of the fragrance. Some perfumers have even mixed sweet rose with far-east oud!

One of my favorite rose-based perfumes is Van Cleef & Arpels “Extraordinaire Rose Velours.” This rich rose fragrance offers a sweet rose fragrance experience which is not sticky. It is smooth and luxurious; much like all the of the fragrances in Van Cleef & Arpel’s “Extraordinaire” collection. If you love vanilla, I highly recommend “Orchidee Vanille.” It is rich, smooth, and arguably the most luxurious vanilla-based fragrance on Earth. Love! Now, I digress, we are talking about rose, not vanilla!

Dolce & Gabbana’s “Velvet Rose” is from the designing duo’s luxurious line of “Velvet” perfumes. “Velvet Rose” is an amazing blend of several rose notes with a slight musky base. This creates an incredible, rose-based fragrance experience, which is sweet, yet not sticky; and as luxurious as possible.

The rose trend is not just limited to fragrance. Rose-based home fragrances are also all the rage this season. Rose lipstick is also a beauty trend for the spring and summer seasons. Of course, rose lipstick may not look good on everyone, nor will it match every outfit in ones’ closet. This makes a rose-based fragrance the easiest way to rock the rose trend this season. Rose-based fragrances work well for both casual and dressy occasions; and they are easy to wear both day and night. Love rose!

Here are my top five picks for rose scents this spring and summer season. Hope you love them! Happy shopping, and stay fabulous 😉

escada joyful edp

Escada Joyful eau de parfum is a beautiful, sweet floral which offers a pink peony fragrance experience laced with fruit. This sweet floral is ideal for right now, and into the spring season. The floral combination lends itself well to moderate to warm weather; the perfect fragrance for spring!

Escada Joyful edp starts off with a floral zing surrounded by a slight black current scent. After about twenty minutes, Escada Joyful eau de parfum settles into a sweet floral which offers light to medium strength throughout the day.

Top notes: Blackcurrant Sorbet, Melon, Mandarin

Middle notes: Violet Leaves, Pink Peony, Dewy Magnolia, Nectarine

Base notes: Honeycomb, Florymoss, Sandalwood

I love wearing Escada Joyful eau de parfum right now as our spring weather arrives here in the San Francisco Bay Area. The sweet floral scent is ideal with our 50-70 degree weather; and will continue to be ideal as we head toward summer. Love that!
