In case you hadn’t noticed, I am obsessed with the 1970s this season. Although the fall 2019 season has trends taking inspiration from multiple decades, there is something about the 1970s which is both nostalgic and comforting; that is drawing me into any trend from the era I can find.
While cropped jeans weren’t really a thing in the 1970s, wide leg jeans were. Therefore, I feel like these jeans can cheat a little bit in a 1970s inspired look. The fabric is also really soft; which makes these jeans super comfortable. I definitely need to wear them with a heel though, or else the wide leg and cropped silhouette easily adds weight to my 5’4″ frame.
Sweater weather is finally here! Yay!! I met my friend Dawn, from Fashion Should be Fun, last week for lunch, and it was cool enough to cozy up in this stripe cardigan sweater. It was so nice being able to enjoy a fall-like weather pattern while walking around downtown Los Gatos with Dawn.
I picked this sweater up back in July, and I have been patiently waiting for a day when temperatures dropped low enough to wear it. It was worth the wait! It’s not a heavy cardigan, making it perfect for fall. In the winter, it can be warmed up with thicker layers underneath. This long sleeve tee is also lightweight, so it was the perfect combination last week when temperatures were in the high 60’s and low 70’s.
This necklace deserves a shout-out too! I purchased it last spring at the Mustard Festival in Saratoga. They always have really cool, local artists and vendors at the festival. My kids love going every year. Funky China was there selling her handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces. They are made from pieces of old china; which is super cool. Definitely check our her Instagram! I get compliments and questions about it every-time I wear it. It’s a conversation starter; and it’s fun to have something one-of-a-kind!

Drumroll please . . . the fall 2019 IT list is here, and there are four distinct bags on the list. These four IT bags for fall 2019 were spotted on the streets of New York Fashion Week, and they were favorites of street style photographers. Next in line is the cross body, or shall we say, small shoulder bag, of the season. If small bags are your jam, this is your IT bag of fall 2019! The Valentino VSling is a convertible bag which offers a strap that can be worn long or short. This enables you to wear this bag cross body, or “slinged” over your shoulder. Are you looking more for a workhorse bag? Yeah, I love having one too. The Chloe Aby was also spotted on the streets of New York, and it is the ultimate workhorse bag of the fall season. It comes in small, medium, and large; so there is a size for you! I have one in black and have been wearing it non-stop since the summer season.
