Our road trip took us to a small town named Orcutt. It had the cutest downtown which was historic and boasted several restaurants. After exploring the downtown, we decided to enjoy dinner at Pizzeria Bello Forno.
They had both indoor and outdoor seating. Since there were five of us, we ended up inside. The decor had a vintage vibe and everyone who worked there was attentive and really nice. We really enjoyed our meal!
We started with the Bruschetta which was delicious. Then, I enjoyed the Beef Short Rib Tortellini. The sauce was incredible! I really enjoyed my meal. Yummy!
If you are ever heading down to SoCal, or in the Santa Maria area, I highly recommend stopping in Orcutt and enjoying a meal at Pizzeria Bello Forno. Thier food is amazing!
There is more to explore from our road trip! Stay tuned for more coverage.
San Francisco has beautiful weather in the summer months. It’s not too hot, and not too cold. So, this is the time of year when the city holds street fairs in various neighborhoods. When I lived in the city, I used to attend the various street fairs all the time. Now that I live in the south bay, we only attend a street fair in the city once or twice during the summer.
Recently we drove up to the city to attend the North Beach street fair. Can you believe we have never taken the kids to the North Beach street fair? How did that happen?? I’m so glad we finally did! Especially since two of my kids are now in college! Yikes! It was a really fun day looking at the work of local artisans, eating food, and watching entertainment.
We enjoyed these acrobats! I’m a little short, so my photos aren’t very good. There were a lot of tall people blocking my view. haha
After the acrobats performed, we walked around a little bit and then stopped into Mona Lisa for lunch. I enjoyed the Risotto of the Day and we shared Bruschetta for an appetizer.
After lunch, we watched more entertainment and then walked into Chinatown where we picked up boba and mooncakes. Yum!
I was super comfortable in these wide leg jeans and oversized tee. This outfit reminded me of the baggy looks we used to wear in the 1990s. I think I prefer the feel of baggy, wide leg jeans over skinny jeans. But, the verdict is out as to which style is more flattering. That being said, I do enjoy comfort! Ha!
The edges of these baggy jeans are great for those of us on the shorter side. I was able to cut them to my height, and to be frank, I might cut another half inch off the bottom. They still seemed a little bit long. Thankfully, cutting the hem is a lot of easier than shortening the hem! So, if you are 5’4″ and under, and you have been wondering if you can rock the wide leg denim trend; you can! These jeans work for us! Love!
So, if you haven’t gone to a street fair in the city for awhile, check one out! It’s a great way to support local businesses and artisans as well as get outside and enjoy some live entertainment! Love that!
How pretty is this view of New York? Although quite windy, we found a clear and mild day to walk along the waterfront in New York City and enjoy the view.
The waterfront was vibrant with people playing tennis, jogging, socializing, and relaxing. It was our last day in New York, and it turned out to be the perfect activity to wrap up our trip. Nothing beats a relaxing walk by the water with decent weather and a fabulous view.
When you visit New York, or any big city, it is nice to take some time to slow down, walk around, and take in the sights. It really is a nice way to drink in the beauty of the city you are visiting.
Well, not too much to say, I think the photos show how pretty the walk was! Enjoy!
