Casual afternoon in Las Vegas

wearing: gold hoop earrings / paisley oversized tee / Dior summer nail polish / classic jeans / small tote / sneakers /

Vegas baby! We recently took a whirlwind trip to Las Vegas to watch our daughter’s cheer team compete in National’s. We are so proud of her! She is on her college cheer team, and they did such an amazing job at National’s placing first! Love!

We flew in on a Friday night and our plane was extremely delayed. By the time we got to the hotel, it was almost midnight and we were ready to crash; so no Friday night on the town for us!

On Saturday, our daughter’s cheer team didn’t compete until the evening, so we had some downtime during the day to relax. We met her at Zeffer’s Cafe inside the Westgate for lunch.

Zeffer’s Cafe was so yummy! We all enjoyed our meals. They had both brunch and dinner available on their menu, so I went with lunch. I would definitely go back!

After lunch, I was still exhausted from the previous night’s travel experience, so I got a cold brew to wake me up!

We sat by the pool and relaxed. It was a little bit chilly, so we didn’t go in the pool, just relaxed on deck. I enjoyed my coffee and my husband indulged in a beer. I may or may not have dozed off for thirty minutes, but I digress. . .

After relaxing at the pool, it was time to switch things up and change into our college merch for the cheer comp! I don’t have pictures of that to protect my daughter’s privacy, but it was an evening of tumbling, stunting, fun routines, and watching our daughter’s team claim first place. Go team!

Lunch on a spring day

wearing: gold hoop earrings / stripe knit top / Dior summer nail polish / barrel jeans / gold bracelet / City bag / black boots /

Ah spring break! After my quick trip to College Station followed by Tucson, I had a couple of days left of spring break, so of course I met up with my fabulous friend Dawn from Fashion Should be Fun!

We enjoyed catching up on life with each other over a yummy meal at Stick and Wok at Valley Fair.

The food at Stick and Wok is really good, plus the owners are so nice and friendly! It was a really enjoyable experience. If you are local, I recommend popping in for a meal. You will enjoy it!

I wore my go-to barrel jeans and my Balenciaga City bag. They were perfect for a mild spring day. These jeans are so comfortable! I find myself reaching for them often. Love!

Barrel jeans for spring

wearing: gold hoop earrings / blue sweater / black barrel jeans / spring nail polish / black handbag / gold bracelet / black boots (similar here) /

My younger daughter was home for spring break, so we went to one of her favorite restaurants for lunch, Din Tai Fung. Since it was lent, and we went on a Friday, we ordered vegetarian dishes. This was my first time only eating vegetarian dishes at Din Tai Fung, and it turned out to be delicious! I highly recommend the Vegan Spicy Won Tons. So good!

After lunch, we wandered the mall and did a small amount of shopping, of course! I wore my barrel jeans with this short sleeve blue sweater. It was perfect for the spring weather and also very comfortable. I am really in love with these barrel jeans! They are comfortable and just the right length. I love how you can pick the length for these jeans. It makes it easy for someone like me who wears petites pants to get the right fit. If you are petite, you know the struggle! I’m thinking I need a second pair in another wash. . . mmmm. . .

What do you think of the barrel jeans trend? Have you hopped on the bandwagon? Or are you waiting for the next trend in denim? Or are you just staying out of the ever-changing denim trend game?

Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for more spring break coverage coming up! I have one break left with my son!
