Short sleeves, timeless handbags, looser jeans, investment jewelry and flats are hot right now! In addition, I am excited for a reemerging trend this year!

Every decade or so, the brooch swings into fashion. It was spotted on many runways this past season; signaling a return to the streets this upcoming fall season. I say, why wait! This is an easy trend to rock during any season. If you have any vintage brooches sitting around, wear them! The current look is to wear them on your lapel. When fall rolls around, you can wear them on sweaters too. Love this!

Walk along the waterfront in NYC

How pretty is this view of New York? Although quite windy, we found a clear and mild day to walk along the waterfront in New York City and enjoy the view.

The waterfront was vibrant with people playing tennis, jogging, socializing, and relaxing. It was our last day in New York, and it turned out to be the perfect activity to wrap up our trip. Nothing beats a relaxing walk by the water with decent weather and a fabulous view.

When you visit New York, or any big city, it is nice to take some time to slow down, walk around, and take in the sights. It really is a nice way to drink in the beauty of the city you are visiting.

Well, not too much to say, I think the photos show how pretty the walk was! Enjoy!

Designer or Deal ankle strap kitten heels

There are so many good shoe trends this spring/summer season! One of these trends is the return of the kitten heel. Before you knock it, this is a much more comfortable heel height for walking. Your feet, hips and lower back will appreciate the lower heel height. So, there’s that!

One of the big trends right now is a pointed toe, kitten heel and ankle strap; all together. Several designers have a version of this shoe style, but I prefer the chic and simple version pictured above. If you love this look too, and want to lower your foot pain, this might be a great shoe for you!

If you are designer all the way, here is the designer version for you! If you prefer to keep your money in the bank, and you enjoy some arch support, this version is calling your name. That being said, this designer version is more of a mid-priced shoe and won’t completely break the bank. So, it’s up to you!
