It’s official! I have a high school teenager in the house, and she has informed me of what is hot, and what is not, in the world of high school teens. So, it is with the authority of a high school freshman that I bring you this holiday gift guide featuring gift ideas for teens.

Teenagers are typically the most difficult group of people to purchase holiday gifts for. They only shop at certain stores, and they only like specific pieces from those stores. If you buy the wrong color or item, even if it is from a “cool”store, it could still be a complete bomb.

My daughter has informed me the best rule of thumb is to buy clothing in black or grey. Only certain pull-overs can be ivory. Teens do not want glitter or sequins; so those days are over for these kids! Clothing needs to be plain, dark, and understated; yet still display cool brand names such as “Pink” or Abercrombie.”
