Transition to fall: Wallis blazer

Outfit: Earrings: c/o Twisted Silver / Lipstick: c/o Laura Mercier “Sin” / Scarf: Karl Lagerfeld / Blazer: c/o Wallis / Blouse: 7 for all mankind / Jeans: Gap / Handbag: Rebecca Minkoff / Nail Polish: Chanel Bel-Argus / Bracelets: Tory Burch & Beau Bijou / Shoes: Prada

You may remember this Wallis blazer from my previous article about it last week, if not, please click here. When Wallis sent me the blazer, they challenged me to style it for summer and fall. I was happy to take on that challenge since the lightweight material and cool grey color make the blazer perfect for the transition from summer into fall.

For my fall look, I paired the blazer with wine hued coated jeans and an edgy, studded handbag by Rebecca Minkoff. I love the overall look and was happy to have a foggy day over the weekend to actually wear a fall look! The blazer was perfect until the fog burned off in the early afternoon and I had to take it off. The blazer came back on when the sun began to set and the fog was about to roll back into the valley over the Santa Cruz Mountains.

This blazer also comes in black and a  beautiful shade of cobalt blue. I am seriously thinking about getting both! The fabric and style are perfect for the transition from summer into fall. To top it off, the blazer is perfect for the micro-climate’s we have here in the San Francisco Bay Area. After all, it can be 90 degree’s in the south bay in late June, and if you drive into San Francisco, temperatures can drop to 60 degree’s. We all need a lightweight blazer for that!

The perfect blazer for summer

Outfit: Blazer: c/o Wallis / Skirt: Parker (similar here and here) / Earrings: c/o Twisted Silver / Clutch: c/o Kao Pao Shu / Shoes: Valentino / Ring: c/o Twisted Silver / Nail Polish: Chanel Paparazzi / Lipstick: c/o Laura Mercier “Sin”

August has been cold. Let’s face it. In the southern part of the San Francisco Bay Area, August is normally a very warm place. We enjoy temperatures in the 80’s and 90’s. We crank our air conditioners all day and all night; but summer 2013 has been different. Having grown up in Marin and lived in San Francisco, I know what a cold, foggy summer is like. I thought I left 60 degree summers behind when relocating to the south bay, but not this year. August has been COLD!

Due to the daily fog and mild temperatures, I find myself wearing jeans or pants during the day and needing a jacket at night. That is where this fabulous blazer from Wallis comes in to save the day. Wallis has created the perfect, lightweight blazer for foggy days and nights. The fabric is light enough for when temperatures hover in the 60’s or low 70’s, yet warm enough to cut off the crisp cold felt when the fog rolls in from the ocean or the bay. Love this!

In the above photos I paired my Wallis blazer with an evening outfit. I love the relaxed shape and fit of the blazer. It was perfect when the fog rolled in over the Santa Cruz Mountains and cooled everything off.

If you like the blazer, and/or you like how I styled it for a recent summer night out in the photos above, please vote for me in a contest on the Wallis Facebook page! To learn more about Wallis, please visitwallis.com. Thank you so much for your support!

Perfect white blouse

DSC06991 DSC06982 DSC07101 DSC0708

We have been having warm and sunny weather this summer here in the San Francisco Bay Area. One of my favorite ways to stay cool in the heat is with lightweight fabric in a light color. This blouse, sent to me by Wallis, fits the bill perfectly. The fabric is lightweight; and white happens to be the coolest color in warm weather! Love that!

This Wallis blouse offers a loose silhouette and a flattering drape. The 3/4 sleeves protect me from the sun, yet keep me cool at the same; and of course allow me to show off some arm candy! I also adore the silver studded design around the split-neck which adds interest to the front of the blouse.

Of course, anything white is versatile! The quiet silver studs combined with the flattering fit of this Wallis blouse make it easy to wear with shorts, pants, slim skirts or as a swimsuit cover-up.

In the photos above I am showing my two favorite ways to wear this blouse. To learn more about Wallis, one of my favorite new ways to shop online, please visit Wallis.com.
