Shopper totes for spring offer plenty of room and help you go green

One of the biggest classics, and now, one of the most needed handbags styles in a women’s wardrobe is the shopper tote. With cities such as San Francisco and San Jose banning plastic bags and forcing retailers to charge ten cents per paper bag, consumers are starting to stock up on bags to carry their purchases home from not only the supermarket, from the shopping mall too!

Of course many of us carry around reusable shopping bags from big box stores and supermarkets, but do we really want to carry these same bags at the shopping mall? One of the easiest ways to carry home purchases from the mall, without shelling out ten cents for a paper bag, is to carry a shopper tote. A shopper tote is roomy and can easily fit a pair of shoes, clutch and that new bikini for summer

There are so many choices when it comes to shopper totes for spring. You can choose an on-trend, bright and bold colored tote or go for something classic in black or brown. The most important factor when looking for a shopper tote is to find one that reflects your personal style and goes with the majority of the outfits you enjoy wearing to the mall in your closet.

Spring 2012 fashion trends for men: the bright suit

With the bright color trend in full swing for spring, it is no wonder that the trend translates into the world of men’s fashion. Normally found sporting black, navy or charcoal suits, men will be shying away from the boring suit of yesteryear and going full force into expressing their inner Male Fashion Maven by sporting bright and bold suits. That’s right, fashion forecasters, such as the ones at Pantone have declared that men will be bright this spring and summer. We can only hope.

Bright and colorful ties, shirts and handkerchiefs have already popped up in traditional black, navy and charcoal men’s suiting, but now, the color is transferring into the suit itself. It should be interesting to see if this trend ends up on the street. Will men push their traditional, boring suits which they have been wearing for the past thirty years into the back of their closets? Or will men laugh at this trend and continue to follow color trends with their tie, not their entire suit. It should be interesting to see if this trend takes to the street.

What do you think? If you are a man, will you dare to go pink, yellow or some other bright hue or will you stick to navy blue? Ladies, do you want to see men as bright as you? Leave a comment below or join us on Facebook or Twitter to discuss!

Bright pumps for spring 2012

The pump is one of the most classic and flattering shoes on the market for women. The high heel elevates us and adds height while giving the appearance of a slimmer figure; love that! Every season designers show versions of the pump, adding to the fact that the shoe style is a classic. For spring 2012 the pump gets bright and is shown with both a pointed toe and round. In addition to going bright this spring, pumps are being shown with both flat soles and platforms; giving consumers a wide variety of heights to choose from.

While many shoe styles this season are complicated and artsy, the pump is being shown in either solid colors or color blocking. The solid colored pump is proving to be the most popular among consumers as the style flies off store shelves in a variety of hues. Solid colored pumps are being shown in the color of the season, orange, as well as bright pink, cobalt blue, bright green, canary yellow and even in neon hues.

One of the fabulous things about the solid colored bright pump is that it is an easy way to update one’s wardrobe. Instead of buying a wide variety of clothing in bright colors for spring, a Fashionista can easily add a pair of bright pumps to an otherwise neutral ensemble and voila! She is instantly on-trend for spring with a bright and bold color.

Thankfully there are no rules when it comes to heel height or sole. Bright pumps are hot in two inch heels as well as five inch. Platforms and flat soles are the choice of the Fashionista, and there is no wrong answer. Our feet are thankful for this trend J
