The spring 2013 shows have ended and New York, London, Paris and Milan have left fashion fans around the globe eager for spring 2013 to begin hitting store shelves. The new warm weather season gave the world many new trends for spring 2013 as well as continuing trends from the spring 2012 season.
Here are a few trends, old and new, spotted on the spring/summer 2013 runways in New York, London, Milan and Paris which we can look forward to early next year.

Chanel spring 2013 Paris Fashion Week

Ah Chanel. Karl Lagerfeld has created a beautiful and playful collection for the spring/summer 2013 season. As seen at Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday, the Chanel collection is colorful and shows many trends from the spring 2012 season which are continuing into the new year.

Chanel showed kitschy fashion including an oversized shoulder bag with hoola-hoop handles. There was color blocking, multi-color tweed, bright colors, pastels, 1960’s silhouettes, platform shoes, oversized jewelry, a bubble theme, florals and clutches; many many clutches!

The overall collection was fabulous and inspirational for the upcoming spring/summer 2013 season. What do you think of the collection? Was it a hit or miss for you?

New York Fashion Week spring 2013 trends from the runways

New York Fashion Week ended last week and left Fashionistas everywhere with something to covet for the spring/summer 2013 season. The overall looks from designers offered colorful combinations on soft fabrics. There was a 1960’s vibe and hemlines dropped below the knee. Shoes were lower to the ground and toes got a little pointy. Handbags were either classic and structured or soft in the form of a hobo. Some designers opted for neutral hues while others continued with bright colors into the New Year. There were prints, florals and playful patterns. A little bit of kitsch remained on the runway for 2013 and styles were a little more casual than what was shown in 2012.
