Now that “Radiant Orchid” has been declared the color of 2014 by color authority Pantone, it is only natural that every shoe loving Fashionista on Earth would love to add at least one pair of fabulous shoes in a hue as close to Radiant Orchid as possible; right here, right now. So I went ahead and scoured the web for the most amazing fall/winter 2013/2014 shoes I could find in colors as close to Radiant Orchid as possible, and assembled them into this article. There is a hot trend in shoes on the streets, and it is taking fashionable closets by storm. Fashionistas have been spotted everywhere wearing high heeled, black sandals, which can double as pumps, with laces! That’s right! The hottest shoe trend to hit the streets is the laced up high heeled sandal.

This hot shoe trend hit the streets back in spring 2013, but it did not explode until winter 2014. Not dominant on the runway, consumers favored the style when it hit store shelves earlier this year and in response, designers, brands and stores have stocked their shelves for the fall/winter 2013/2014 season with the daring style. This is not a conservative look; these shoes are attention grabbers!

There are several variations of the laced up high heel shoe. Some designers have a true lace-up where the wearer must tie her shoes, while others have false laces that look more like a series of thin straps rather than laces. Both styles are relevant, and fit perfectly into this hot trend.

The laced-up high heel is a great addition to any Fashionistas’ wardrobe. The shoe style can be worn dressed up with skirts, dresses and trousers as well as casually with denim skirts, jeans and sweat-suit trousers. They can be worn during the day, or for evening events. This is one versatile shoe style!

Flat sandals for summer 2013

The summer season is almost here, which means warm weather and the chance to wear sandals! Of course not every day is about fabulous high heeled sandals which turn heads. There are days when a Fashionista needs to wear a more practical, comfortable type of sandal; the flat sandal.

Flat sandals are the ultimate staple for casual days during the summer; and just because they are flat, does not mean they have to sacrifice style! There are so many fabulous flat sandal styles on the market for summer 2013 which reflect current runway trends and what is hot on the street.

Flat sandals for summer 2013 are being shown in bright colors as well as neon hues. They are also being shown in the season’s ultimate neutral; metallic, as well as 2012’s continuing trend color blocking. If you have flat sandals from last year which are color blocked, bright or metallic, you are in luck! Those sandals can be pulled out from storage and placed front and center in closet. Love that!

There is also a huge trend right now in sandals; the modified Gladiator. These shoe styles offer multiple straps which travel up to the ankle and stop. These are not the Gladiator sandals from a few years back which travel towards the knee-so leave those in storage!

Another huge trend in sandals this summer season is the ankle strap. For “of-the-moment” flat sandals, look for a single strap in front with an ankle strap in a bright hue, neon color or mint green. Love this!
