Denim is hot in 2026! Although denim is a classic fabric, designers are having extra fun with it this year, so lookout for a lot of denim throughout the year!

One of the hot denim trends this year is the denim maxi skirt. I love this one since it has a full silhouette, and I was able to buy it in petite! It is always a fabulous thing when I don’t have to pay for alterations. Love that!

We enjoyed temperatures in the high 60’s during the Lunar New Year celebration at Santana Row, so this outfit worked out perfectly. Since the sun was shining, we ate brunch on the outdoor patio at Augustine. The food was delicious and we had close seats to the Lunar New Year entertainment.

I enjoyed the Dungeness Crab Donuts and a side of French Fries. They were delicious! My husband and my son both ordered the hamburger with fries, they also enjoyed their meal. Highly recommend if you are local!

The entertainment was amazing. There were performances which included a lion dance, local dancers, local singers, kung fu, and more! We had a lot of fun. I will definitely go again next year.

There are times when I need to wear a professional, business casual outfit, and not jeans. I was so happy to find these wide leg pants in petite sizing! As you know, alterations can add up and delay adding a piece to your wardrobe. When pants are available in petite sizes, it makes life so easy! Plus, the pants fit out of the box, love that!

Sometimes I like to wear all black when dressing for an event or professionally. There is something simple and chic about an all-black look. I love these petite wide leg pants in black, they are perfect for an office setting as well as evening events, or daytime events when I want an alternate to jeans. I mean, black pants are as versatile as jeans!

This black sweater is also a go-to in my spring wardrobe. Seriously, I can wear it with office attire, a skirt (there is a matching one!), and jeans. A black spring sweater is just like a little black dress, there is always an occasion to wear it! Love that!

I wore this outfit to the Broadway San Jose launch party. It was comfortable for walking, standing and sitting. It also Broadway show appropriate. Love!

Lunch and petite jeans

If you wear petite pants like I do, then you get really excited when you find something in petite sizing which is also on trend or fashionable. Nothing is more mundane than having to alter jeans or pants because they are too long. So, when I spotted these wide leg jeans in petite sizing, I was hooked!

I love jeans. If you have been following along, you probably already figured that out. haha. I wear jeans more than any other type of clothing. Nothing irks me more than having to get my jeans shortened. It’s costly, plus it takes time away from wearing my brand new pants/jeans! These fabulous petite jeans are perfectly on trend and can be worn the day you buy them. If you wear petite pants, you totally get this!

Since I was armed with new jeans that I didn’t need to get shortened, I decided to wear them out with my friend Dawn from Fashion Should Be Fun for a yummy lunch. We decided to meet in Los Gatos and have lunch at Zona Rosa. If you are local, and you haven’t eaten at Zona Rosa, you are missing out! The food is delicious and there is a really cute outdoor seating area. It was a little cold, so we ate inside. But, when the weather warms up, you will catch us outside!
