Have you ever spotted an article of clothing that spoke to you? That is exactly what happened with this summer hat. I have a white sun hat I have been wearing for the past couple of years, but when I spotted this floppy, fabulous hat, I knew it was time to update my hat game!

I love how dramatic this floppy, summer hat looks. It elevated these black and white striped, wide-leg pants for summer, taking it from a regular summer outfit, to something exotic! I’m looking forward to wearing this sun hat with more outfits this summer; as well as wearing it at the beach!

Baggy jeans and Valentino Tango pumps

boyfriend jeans outfit for any seasonhow to wear valentino tango pumps blue valentino tango pumps fall 2016baggy boyfriend jeans and a white tee mansur gavriel lady bag

Pictured: Sunglasses: Chanel / Lipstick: c/o Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Rosa / Earrings: Kendra Scott / Top: H & M / Necklace: Jennifer Zeuner / Bracelet: H & M (on sale under $5!) / Nail Polish: Chanel Canotier / Handbag: Mansur Gavriel / Jeans: Banana Republic / Shoes: Valentino Tango pumps

I fell in love with the Valentino Tango pumps last year. I was on the hunt for a pair of black pumps last year, and when I saw the Valentino Tango pumps, I knew I needed a pair, in black, in my life! Unfortunately, black was no-where to be found. These pumps were, and still are, quite popular!

When the fall season was approaching, I decided a pair of Valentino Tango pumps would be perfect for the autumn season, as well as my fashion week wardrobe. I was unable to find a black pair, so last year I opted for a red pair with the short, 1″ heel. I felt like the shorter heel would be ideal for fashion week since there is a lot of standing, and walking, involved. The shorter heel worked out perfectly; and the Valentino Tango pumps in red were easy to wear with different outfits, as well as walk, and stand in line.

The black pair still haunts me. I have been keeping my eyes open for a pair, in the higher heel, since last year. I cannot seem to get my hands on a pair! In my last search, I came across a new, light slate blue color Valentino has released for pre-fall. I instantly feel in love! If I cannot have a black pair, this color surely satisfies me!

As with the shorter heel, the higher heel Valentino Tango pump is comfortable, and easy to walk in. I feel like I could actually run in these shoes. They fit extremely well, and hug your foot. I have found with Valentino shoes in general, they are made so well that every pair is comfortable and easy to wear all day long. Love that!

I still would love a black pair for my wardrobe, but if I end up choosing a different pair of black pumps as my go-to heels for fall, I will not be sad. Owning this pair of light, slate blue Valentino Tango pumps with the higher heel has satisfied me. I am in love!

Is there a pair of shoes out there you are in love with, and finding yourself hunting down? If so, which pair are they?

Summer prairie skirt

There is something about a prairie skirt for summer which not only fits into fashion’s current 1970s influence, it is ubiquitous with warm weather. Perhaps it is the prairie skirt’s overall style; the casual tiers, the flowing silhouette, which embody the comfortable, casual vibe of summer clothing. I love it!

Every summer I seem to reach for one prairie skirt which blends well with my seasonal mood. This season, I have been in a neutral color palette mood; and this prairie skirts fits right in by being a classic shade of navy. OK, navy isn’t exactly a true neutral, but it works like a neutral, so I give it a pass 😉

I love the maxi length of this prairie skirt. It has a bohemian vibe which also fits my current fashion mood. It can easily be dressed up with wedges, as I have done, or worn casually with flat espadrilles, sandals, or flip flops. I love how this skirt can be ultra casual, or dressy casual. That’s very me!

As we move into fall, the 1970s influence from the runways will remain strong throughout the season. While certain influences from the 1990s will creep into fashion, such as choker necklaces, lug soles, and loafer pumps, the overall vintage vibe will remain 1970s. Since these are styles I love, I am already trying to integrate some fall trends into my current summer wardrobe. If you are curious about what the fall trends from the runways are, you can read more about it here.

Which trends are influencing your personal style this season?
