Gucci Metallic Sand is a beautiful, rose gold nail polish hue from Gucci’s beauty collection. Metallic Sand by Gucci offers a neutral nail polish look with a twist. The color acts like a neutral beige or nude nail polish, but offers much more interest than a neutral beige or nude through its’ metallic nature. Love that!

Metallic Sand nail polish by Gucci offers a golden shimmer with rose undertones which gives it an overall warm tone. It plays well with both gold-tone and silver-tone jewelry. Of course, it looks amazing with rose-tone metals! This makes it an easy nail polish color to wear everyday. I can definitely see wearing this nail polish more as move into the summer months. It is light and clean, yet offers more of a unique color than a plain neutral. Lovin’ it!

Since the summer 2015 color palette offers a combination of mixed neutrals, bold pastels, and bright hues, Gucci Metallic Sand nail polish is an easy color to wear since it will blend well with all three color palettes. This is fabulous because we will not need to worry about our nails clashing with our clothing. 

I tested out Gucci Metallic Sand nail polish with two coats of color and one base coat. The nail polish lasted seven days before chipping! Perfection 😉 This is something I love about Gucci’s new nail polish collection. The nail polish is long lasting and offers a unique mix of colors which are fresh and new. What more could anyone ask of their nail polish?

Gucci Abyss nail polish for spring 2015

Gucci Abyss is a new, limited edition nail polish color introduced by Gucci for the spring 2015 season. This deep, navy blue nail polish is a beautiful deep blue hue; and an easy color to wear this warm weather season.

Shades of blue are a huge color trend for the spring 2015 season. This makes Gucci Abyss nail polish perfect to wear during the spring season since navy is in the blue family! This navy blue hue has a nautical feeling to it, and the dark saturation of the color makes it ideal for transitioning from winter 2015 into spring 2015. Love that!

I tested out Gucci Abyss nail polish with two coats of color and one base coat; no top coat. The polish lasted eight days before chipping! I love that about Gucci nail polish. It is always long lasting. Another feature about Gucci nail polish to love; the application brush, which is really easy to use. The nail polish glides on easily and smoothly with the soft, medium width brush. There are never any streaks, and the mess is minimal.

The color difference on my nails in the photo above is due to the position of the sun when the picture was taken. I missed golden hour so I had to take the picture in direct sunlight. This caused an odd reflection on the side of the nails. Trust me, the color is even and luxurious. 🙂

Gucci fall 2015 beauty look from the Milan Fashion Week runway

Gucci sent their fall/winter 2015/2016 collection down the Milan Fashion Week runway last week and showed a clean, classic beauty look which complimented the subway themed show, and vintage collection featured on the catwalk. The feminine and classic beauty look on the Gucci runway was created by Gucci Cosmetics Artistic Director, Pat McGrath.

Pat McGrath shares with us how to achieve this runway look at home, right now, before fall 2015 begins! Love that!

GET THE LOOK:

Skin:

Skin was prepared by applying Gucci Purifying Cleansing Water, Refining Gentle Toner and Perfecting Lightweight Moisturizer. Before makeup application, Gucci Silk Priming Serum was used to prime the skin.

Face: 

Gucci Lustrous Glow Foundation and Luminous Perfecting Concealer were applied to match each model’s skin tone.

Eyes:

Each model received individualized application amount of the Gucci Magnetic Color Shadow Duo in Aristocratic to enhance the natural tone of their eyes. Next, one coat of Gucci Opulent Volume Mascara in Cocoa was applied to the base of the top lashes only. Lastly, eyebrows were groomed using the Precise Sculpting Brow Pencil. 

Lip:

Clear lip balm was gently dabbed on lips with a finger and then tissued off.

Finishing Touch:

The look was finished off with Gucci Luxe Finishing Powder.
