Happy National Lipstick Day! To celebrate this fun day, let’s take a look at the six new lipstick hues from Perricone MD’s no makeup collection! There are six new exciting colors from the collection; Rose, Berry, Red, Cognac, Original Pink, and Wine. Original Pink is my favorite color from the collection, it’s perfect to wear now and into the fall season.
As we head towards fall, the new lipstick colors from Perricone MD are perfect to pick up now. Perricone MD lipsticks are packed with powerful ingredients such as hyaluronic acid which offer all-day hydration and neuropeptides which can visibly improve skin’s appearance. Love that!
Perricone MD lipsticks have also been boosted with mineral-based broad spectrum SPF 15 which deflects harmful UVA and UVB rays. Love that too!

Have you been longing for a new IT bag from Chloe? I know I have! It has been a few years since I have seen a new handbag style from Chloe that caught my attention. Perhaps it has to do with what I need in my wardrobe, or maybe it is design driven; whatever the case, Chloe has caught my attention with their new Aby handbag for the upcoming fall 2019 season.
Introduced for fall 2019, the Chloe Aby handbag is both a throwback to Chloe’s first IT bag, and a nod to the future of the design house. Featuring a Chloe Paddington lock, a well-loved feature of the IT bag which launched Chloe onto the IT bag stage, the Chloe Aby offers a bit of nostalgia without repeating something that was hot in the past. Love that!
Around 2005, the Chloe Paddington launched onto the IT bag scene. It was an ordinary, soft and casual satchel with an extraordinary detail; a heavy Chloe lock. The lock is what caught everyone’s attention, and soon, the Paddington was the hottest handbag in town. To illustrate how popular this bag was, there were sold-from-the-trunk-of-a-car Paddington’s roaming the streets; just like the ever popular swap-meet Louis’s we have spotted for decades. This bag was on fire!
Then poof! The IT bag market heated up and the Paddington became yesterday’s news. When that happened, there was something dated about the lock, and people shelved or sold their Paddington’s in favor of newer styles. Chloe reintroduced the bag about 5-6 years ago, in the hopes of re-igniting what once was, but like the Fendi Baguette and the Dior Saddle bag, they were over before they attempted to re-start. <sigh>
But for fall 2019, and I hate starting a paragraph and sentence with the word “but,” but seriously, it has to be done! For fall 2019, Chloe has defied the odds and designed us a fabulous, casual satchel bearing the Paddington lock. The Chloe Aby satchel comes in two sizes; small and medium. I fell in love with the bag as soon as I watched the fall runway on You Tube. I knew instantly this bag needed to be in my wardrobe. I love the nostalgia mixed with the modern design. Plus, it looked like a workhorse! Love that!
Chloe Aby tote review
The Chloe Aby handbag is a great choice for an everyday bag this fall 2019 season. Not only that, it has the makings of becoming the next IT bag. After all, the handbag market hasn’t had a stand-out IT bag in quite some time. The Chloe Aby is ready to fill that void.
If you are looking for a solid, everyday bag, the Chloe Aby is it. The outside of the bag features a top handle, which is a hot fall trend, and also a shoulder strap. This gives the bag a casual look and versatility. It also has a soft silhouette which offers just enough stiffness to hold it’s shape without slouching. That really is the best of both worlds!
Inside the Chloe Aby, there are two main compartments which are roomy enough for a small book, bag of snacks for the kids, gloves on cold days, and more! Between the two main compartments there is a slim zipper pocket which is great for important papers, or theater tickets. In addition to large areas, the Chloe Aby also offers a slim interior pocket which is great for placing tickets, receipts, or a phone. It’s very practical and handy!
My one complaint about the new Chloe Aby bag, is the clasp. It is magnetic, but it also has to be lifted up and slipped down to get the top of the clasp out of the bottom lock. It has taken some practice, and I have gotten the hand of it, but just keep in mind you may to fiddle with it a few times before mastering the security of the magnetic clasp. It’s really easy to open when wearing the bag cross body; which is a plus! Other than that, the bag is easy to reach into, and practical for everyday use. This is why I chose the Chloe Aby in black. Black is a great, classic hue which will be easy to pair with any outfit I wear this fall season and beyond. The Chloe Aby is not going to be a one season bag, this will be a handbag which sticks around for several seasons; hopefully it stands the test of time like the Marcie! I really love this bag!

I promise, I am not trying to make fall happen! It’s not going to happen! -Despite the fact that I had a Pumpkin Pie Latte last Thursday. #Guilty haha
I picked up this red plaid blazer for fall, and I am in love! It’s lightweight, so it’s an easy piece to wear right now, and into the early part of the fall season. It’s always nice to have a few pieces which reflect the upcoming fall season, yet still work on warm summer days. This is my key transition piece!
We have a lot of fog in the mornings, so a lightweight blazer is perfect for combating the chill the fog brings in when it rolls over the Santa Cruz Mountains, into the valley. A blazer is also a more structured way of amping up a casual jeans and tee look. It really elevates a basic outfit. Love that!
I wore this outfit last week to meet my friend Dawn from Fashion Should be Fun at Santana Row. We took blog photos, (of course-haha), then walked around, grabbed lunch, chatted, and walked around some more! It was nice to have a relaxing day with my friend. Earlier last week I was super busy helping my mom pack, and then I helped her move. So having some “me” time with Dawn was the recovery day I needed.
Now that my Mom has moved, I can finally get on with with my summer vacation, and having fun with my kids! We have another trip planned for later in the summer, so I need to have time to plan for it!
