Last week was so amazing! Chico’s sent eleven bloggers, minus Dawn from Fashion Should be Fun who was supposed to be number twelve but had to stay home due to her real job (those pesky jobs!), to Fort Myers, Florida for a fabulous bloggers event: Chico’s 35 Years Bold.

Chico’s was celebrating 35 years in business. In order to help celebrate, they flew us out to Florida so we could check out their beautiful, enviable headquarters, and visit the very first Chico’s store on Sanibel Island. I’ll fill you in on all the juicy details in my next post, today we are talking about the very first day of the trip!

For my flight, I took a red eye in from San Francisco and landed in Fort Myers at 9:30am-ish. I got to the hotel around 10am and was stunned at the beauty! We stayed at the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina on Fort Myers Beach in Florida. It was so beautiful! Aside from the fabulous view of the beach, the resort itself was incredible. It’s on the beach, decorated with a fun, beachy vibe, and features a beautiful swimming pool and deck.

Chico’s set us up in our  own suites which featured bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, and balconies. My room overlooked the beach and was up on the seventh floor. The view was insanely beautiful! We were all gifted a fabulous beach bag, beach towel, and beautiful sun hat with our Instagram handle embroidered on it by Chico’s. I couldn’t believe it!

After taking a million insta-stories to share with you on Instagram, I relaxed on the sofa and took a tiny nap to catch up on the sleep I lost from my flight. Then, it was time for our first event of the week; a beach cocktail reception. Love!

The cocktail reception was so much fun. I was able to meet the PR team from Chico’s, SOMA Intimates, and White House | Black Market in person. It was so nice to meet everyone in person who I had been emailing for months. Chico’s gave us a beautiful location complete with live music, an open bar, and a delicious cheese and fruit table. There were also yummy passed appetizers. So good!

I really enjoyed being able to talk about fashion, shopping, style, blogging, business, and more with both the PR teams, and other bloggers on the trip. It was also really nice to meet bloggers I had never met before! I already knew Alison from Wardrobe Oxygen. We met last year at the rewardStyle conference and became instant friends. She is so amazing! It was so much fun to see her in person again. I also enjoyed seeing Sheree from SheSheShow again in person. Last time we saw each other was at fashion week, a few years ago! My girl Jamie from More Than Turquoise was there. Last time I saw her was at NYFW in February, so it was fun seeing her again in person. I knew Barbi from Southern Blond Chic and Tonya from The Real Chic from Instagram, but had never met them in real life before. It was great to meet Instagram friends in person, they are so nice!

The new blogger friends I made on the trip included Tanya from Tanya Foster Blog, Romy from Romy Raves, Chic Over 50, Nikki from I Am Nikki Free, and Lisa from The Silver Stylist. They were all incredible, inspiring, bold women who work hard and produce amazing blogs. I am so grateful to Chico’s for putting us all together for this event so we could meet each other, and help Chico’s celebrate 35 Years Bold!

The ultimate no iron shirt for women

how to wear a mens style shirt for women no iron wrinkle free fashionable work tote fits laptop timeless no iron shirt chicosno iron shirt wrinkle freewrinkle free classic shirt women

wearing: lipstick / convertible necklace (wearing middle tier) c/o Chico’s (last seen here) / white tank top / blue and white stripe no iron shirt for women c/o Chico’s / mixed metal bracelets / Dior summer nail polish / summer tote bag (full review here) / white and silver watch / fall 2018 jeans / black espadrilles (super comfy and on major sale!!)

One of my least favorite activities to do around the house is the ironing. I have to lug the ironing board out of the laundry room, open it (and mine always sticks), then I have to pull out the iron, heat it up, tell the kids not to run in the house because they will knock it over and die, and then I have to iron out all the wrinkles on an article of clothing only to have it re-wrinkle when someone puts it on or sits in the car. It’s like an endless cycle-much like that run-on sentence of mine explaining why I don’t like to iron!

When I was working with Chico’s on my travel wardrobe for my recent trip to Seattle, they suggested I try out their no iron shirt too. I don’t normally wear men’s style shirts, but the thought of a wrinkle free garment sparked my interest, so I accepted it! My husband has a closet full of wrinkle-free dress shirts he wears for work, which I have always envied, so I wanted one too! His clothing is professional, yet it’s all wash and wear. Why can’t women’s clothing be wash and wear too?

This no iron shirt for women from Chico’s is a dream come true. While it can get an occasional crease from sitting in the car, it doesn’t look like it needs any ironing; and it comes out of the wash wrinkle free. Love that!

The menswear trend is still going strong as we head into the fall season. So, I love being able to wear it now. This shirt is classic, and offers both the menswear look, and feminine appeal. I love the 3/4 sleeves and chic button row on the back. It’s like a classic suit shirt with a twist. This shirt can easily be worn under a blazer during the day at work, then when the blazer is removed, it can carry you into the weekend. Love!

I wore this outfit the other day at Santana Row when I met my friend Dawn from Fashion Should Be Fun for lunch at Pizza Antica. It was really comfortable and easy to wear in the hot weather. I’m not as tan as I look in the photo of us together, but maybe we can pretend I am that tan?? haha I really wish I was!

Best packable clothing for travel | Chico’s Travelers Collection

packable outfits chicos travelers collection

Best travel clothes for women: wearing: pink top c/o Chico’s (on major sale!) / convertible necklace c/o Chico’s / wide leg black pants c/o Chico’s / black shoulder bag / lipstick / fall nail polish / boots (old-also love this pair) /

Follow me to the Space Needle!

Found the Space Needle! We recently took a family vacation to Seattle where I brought the best packable clothing on the market in my suitcase from the Chico’s Travelers Collection. We took a morning flight to Seattle, so I made sure my family was packed the night before. This meant my clothing would be packed, and smashed, into a suitcase for roughly 24 hours. As you know, this can create havoc on clothing, and guarantee an ironing session once you arrive to your destination.

Thank goodness I had the best packable clothing for travel in my suitcase made by Chico’s! No ironing on vacation! These travel clothes are SO AMAZING! Chico’s makes an entire collection of clothing made for travel! These pieces are made from fabric which does not wrinkle. In addition to wrinkle-free clothing, the entire collection is designed with travel in mind. The silhouettes are comfortable, soft, and don’t take up very much space in the suitcase. I had a weeks worth of clothes in my carry-on suitcase, with a ton of room for shoes!! Love that!

All of the clothing in Chico’s Travelers Collection is made to mix and match. The tops match all the bottoms, and the bottoms match all the tops. It’s an entire travel wardrobe for your suitcase! Everything can be mixed and matched, so it is easy to go from day into evening; and re-wear pieces in new ways to create multiple outfits with just a few pieces. Love that!

Pants or jeans are my preferred sight-seeing style. I like the comfort of pants when I am doing heavy walking and seeing the sights. On day two of our trip, I wore jeans with this fabulous top from the Chico’s Travelers Collection for sightseeing. The top is super comfortable, and I love the edgy grommets on the cuffs. I felt stylish and fashionable in this top; which you know for me is a must!

The top was super easy for taking me from day into evening. I added this convertible necklace from Chico’s and switched out the jeans for the black skirt. The top and skirt were perfect for the evening portion of the day. This outfit worked for dinner, and seeing the city at night. Loved it!

One of my favorite things about Chico’s is that they create convertible jewelry. They have the best convertible jewelry for travel and day-to-day life. This necklace is my second Chico’s convertible necklace. On the surface, it looks like a tiered necklace which is statement making. In reality, it is seven necklaces in one! Love!

There are three necklaces attached at the clasp; which is hidden in the back. You can detach one or two necklaces from the clasp to create a single necklace, or a two-tiered necklace. There are seven possible configurations! You can see me wearing the top tier by itself with the pink top in this post. I also love the middle tier alone with jeans and a tee. There are so many possibilities with this necklace. It is great for travel because it is the only necklace you need to pack. Love that!

If you are planning a trip and need something which won’t wrinkle, or you need clothing for your day-to-day life which will stay wrinkle-free, this is the collection of your dreams! You can find the entire Travelers Collection by Chico’s online at Chicos.com.
