Chanel Mirabella is a bright orange nail polish color from Chanel’s summer 2014 beauty collection. The bright orange hue teeters between being bright and neon. This is a hot nail polish color for the summer 2014. Orange nails, lipstick and tinted blush were all the rage on the spring/summer 2014 runways. This makes Chanel Mirabella nail polish the ultimate nail polish for the summer 2014 season; as well as right now!

The orange hue of Chanel Mirabella nail polish blends well with cool colors; which is unusual for an orange hued nail polish! Normally orange nail polish only works with shades of red, orange, yellow and neutrals. Not Chanel Mirabella nail polish! Chanel Mirabella has a slightly blue undertone which allows the nail polish to play well with shades of blue and pink. It does not play well with purple or green.

I tested out Chanel Mirabella nail polish with two coats of color, one base coat and no top coat. The polish proved to be chip resistant and lasted six days. I also felt like Chanel Mirabella nail polish made my skin look tan; which is always a plus!

Chanel always has the most beautiful selection of nail polish colors; and for summer 2014 the iconic fashion house did not disappoint! Although all of the nail polish hues from Chanel’s summer 2014 collection are beautiful, Mirabella is standing out as my favorite. The orange hue is fresh and playful; making it perfect for the summer season!

Chanel Pink Tonic nail polish review for summer 2014

Chanel’s summer 2014 nail polish colors are here! The colors are bright, playful, and perfect for the upcoming fun-filled summer months. Pink Tonic by Chanel is a bright, neon fuchsia hue which will definitely attract attention this summer 2014 season. The bright, neon color of Pink Tonic blends well with the seasons’ neon color palette, plays well with neutrals, and adds a little kick to pastel shades of pink, purple, green and blue.

Every year Chanel dictates the “IT” color in nail polish, and summer 2014 is no different. For summer 2014 we are looking at a mix of pastel hues, white, and neon brights for nail polish. Chanel Pink Tonic is a great nail polish color for the summer 2014 season since it is a bright pink hue which is easy to wear.

Although not a neutral color, Pink Tonic by Chanel plays well with the majority of colors in the summer 2014 color palette. This will make Chanel Pink Tonic nail polish easy to wear this summer, and perfect for the hot weather season. Love that!

I tested out Chanel Pink Tonic nail polish with one base coat and two coats of color; no top coat. Chanel pink Tonic nail polish lasted five days before chipping and seven days before needing to be redone. The color is smooth and shiny; no matte or sparkles. You could try a matte top coat with Chanel Pink Tonic nail polish, although, I personally love the high shine of the nail polish and would not want to dull it with a matte top coat.

Chanel Pink Tonic nail polish is a limited edition nail polish for the summer 2014 season. You can find Chanel Pink Tonic nail polish online here and here.

Casual printed sweatpants

I love wearing pants on casual days, but I don’t always want to wear jeans. Therefore, I love the current “sweatpants” or “track pant” trend from the New York runways right now. Although these pants are classified as sweatpants or track pants, they are nothing like what a typical, sporting pair of sweatpants would normally look or feel like.

The current sweatpants on the market are made from the same fabrications found on trousers and slim pants. The construction of the pants is loose, but not too loose, with an elastic waistband and elastic around the ankles. This gives the pants drape and makes them extremely comfortable around the waist. I have decided these are the perfect pants to wear to a buffet! 😉

Hopefully the “sweatpants” trend continues into 2015. They did appear on the fall/winter 2014/2015 runways in New York, so that is a good sign that we will continue to see the style into next year. Fingers crossed they appear on the spring/summer 2015 runways too!

Have you tried out the current sweatpants trend? What do you think of them?
