Chanel Alchimie nail polish for fall 2013 review

Chanel Alchimie is the new fall 2013 nail polish projected to be the ultimate “IT” polish in nail color this upcoming cool weather season. The hue, which is slightly darker than Pantone’s “Linden Green,” one of the top ten colors for fall 2013, is a traditional autumn shade of green which will work well with the upcoming season’s traditional fall color palette.

Alchimie by Chanel is a slightly sparkling nail polish which could be described as Chanel’s “Peridot” without the gold undertones. Chanel Alchimie is a cool green which will blend easily this fall with shades of brown, mustard, orange and neutral hues. The nail polish itself applies easily in two coats and offers a streak-free finish which is smooth and elegant. Love this!

I tested Chanel Alchimie with one base coat and two coats of color for one week. The polish stayed true to everything which makes Chanel nail polish a huge favorite of mine. Chanel Alchimie managed to stay chip free during the week and only began to crack on the seventh day. At day seven, my nails had grown a little bit and needed to be redone anyway.

Chanel Alchimie is projected to be the “IT” nail polish color of fall 2013. This means if you love the hue, buy it now! Alchimie by Chanel may not last on store shelves through the autumn season. Chanel Alchimie is priced at $27 and can be found online here. Happy shopping, and stay fabulous

Chanel Paparazzi nail polish for summer 2013 review

Chanel Paparazzi is one of three nail polish colors from the new late, summer collection which includes “Cinema,” “Provocation” (also from the FNO12 collection) and “Paparazzi.” This beautiful, classic hue appears to be a dark, sparkling pink in the bottle. When applied with two coats, Chanel Paparazzi offers a dark, brownish-pink hue with a very slight sparkle which is difficult to see without direct sunlight.

Paparazzi by Chanel is an ideal nail polish hue for late summer 2013. This dark color is neutral enough to blend with both summer and fall color palettes without screaming “summer!” The pinkish-brown hue of Chanel Paparazzi easily blends with shades of purple, blue, green and pink as well as warm hues of red, orange and yellow. Love that!

I tested out Chanel Paparazzi with one base coat and two coats of colors. The polish lasted almost a week without chipping or cracking. The color of Chanel Paparazzi feels a little dark in June, but I feel like this will be a great nail polish to wear towards the end of July and through the beginning of September. It is a transitional hue from summer into fall.

Chanel Paparazzi is priced at $27 and can be found online here. Happy shopping, and stay fabulous

Chanel Bel-Argus nail polish for summer 2013 review

Chanel Bel-Argus nail polish is a beautiful new cobalt blue nail color from Chanel’s summer 2013 beauty collection. This deep blue nail polish offers vivid color saturation and Chanel’s signature sparkles. Love this!

There have been many shades of blue nail polish from Chanel in season’s past, but, Bel-Argus may be the most fabulous shade of blue the iconic design house has ever invented. Chanel Bel-Argus fits perfectly into summer 2013 “shades of blue” trend while also working as an alternative to the season’s hottest nail polish craze; the green-blue nail.

I tested out Chanel Bel-Argus and found it to be one of the longest lasting nail polish colors from Chanel in recent memory. Bel-Argus turned out a little bit streaky with two coats of color, so I added a third coat which made the color look perfect. With one base coat, three coats of color and no top coat, Chanel Bel-Argus lasted without chipping for a whopping nine days! The only reason I needed to take the polish off my nails was due to the fact that my nails grew and the bare nail was showing at the cuticle. Love that!

Chanel Bel-Argue also blends well with all of summer 2013’s bright and neon hues. While pastels seem to be staying in spring and not traveling too far into summer, Chanel Bel-Argus will still work with pastel hues of blue and green; the cobalt offers a little contrast to the pastels without clashing.

Chanel Bel-Argus nail polish is priced at $27 and can be found online here. Happy shopping, and stay fabulous
