Chain details for fall

Chain chain chain! Do you hear the song going through your head? I sure do! As you already know, chains are everywhere! They were a hot spring/summer trend, and chains are blowing up for fall! We are seeing them all over everything! If you haven’t already invested in a chain detail item for right now, what are you waiting for?

As you know, there isn’t anything new or groundbreaking about chains. Chanel has been doing them forever, and designers everywhere have been trying to make chains their own for decades. That being said, Chanel will always be the Queen of chains. Of course, this doesn’t mean you have to rock the chain trend with an item from Chanel. After all, very few can afford a closet full of Chanel! Thankfully brands from all price points have made beautiful clothing and accessories with chain details, so all of us can rock this trend. Love!

I always eye a good IT bag, and Bottega Veneta’s chain pouch caught my eye, and gave me many sleepless nights until I pulled the trigger, and invested in one. I chose dark brown because it’s neutral, and I own too many black bags already. Although, can anyone really own too many black bags? Seriously, I don’t think that is possible. I expect more black bags in my future, but I digress. . .

You don’t have to indulge in the chain pouch to rock the chain trend. These fabulous and comfy booties are currently on sale for under $100. The price will go up in the middle of August, they are a fall item. So, if you love them too, snap up a pair while the price is good. I have already done a lot of walking in my pair, and my feet have been very happy. Love them!

Chains are popping up for fall on more than just shoes and handbags. Expect to find chain details on clothing and jewelry too. This is a chic and fun trend for the fall season which is bound to continue into 2022. Love that!

The perfect black top

Ah! This black top has so much staying power! I originally purchased it in the summer for 2019 for the fall season. I wore it at fashion week, which you can see my outfit below from NYFW, I am in the green skirt, spinning. I also wore it during the fall season around town, as you can see an example in the long denim skirt. Last fall, I paired it with jeans as life was extremely casual last year. This year, I am pairing it with jeans so far, but I plan to wear this top with skirts as the season progresses. Love that!

Know what else I love? It’s on major sale right now! Plus, the puff sleeves are right on trend. Love that too!

I wore this black top the other day when I went to Santana Row with my Mom for lunch. We walked around, looked at make-up at Sephora, checked out all the cute new jewelry at Kendra Scott, and enjoyed lunch at Left Bank. I had the Vegan Cassoulet, which was delicious, and my Mom enjoyed the salmon. Yummy!

So, if you have been following along, you know I have been on a doctor-ordered diet. I have lost almost twenty pounds now, so these jeans are new! I wore them at Disneyland, and now I am wearing them often since they are one of three bottoms which fit me. These jeans are comfy, and very on trend for summer. Love! I also plan on getting this pair for the fall season. I love a darker wash in the fall.

I am so excited the economy is opening back up! Last week, I was able to meet up with my friend Dawn from Fashion Should be Fun for the first time since everything shut down last year. It was so emotional and amazing to see her in person, and to be able to talk non-stop; and talk non-stop we did!

We met up at Santana Row and enjoyed a delicious lunch at Straits. If you are local, and haven’t eaten there yet, what are you waiting for? The food is delicious! It’s an Asian fusion menu with healthy options available. Since I am on a diet, it was really easy to find something healthy and delicious on their menu. I enjoyed the Fuji apple and prawn salad as well as the roti appetizer, which I shared with Dawn.

After lunch, we took a walk around Santana Row and browsed through several shops. It was such a nice day, and we were having so much fun, we walked across the street to Valley Fair!

We took a walk around Valley Fair and window shopped; especially where there were handbags. haha. How fun are these teeny, tiny little handbags at the Jimmy Choo shop! They were literally doll sized. I don’t think a phone could fit inside, just maybe keys and a lipstick? They were so cute! I tried to find them on their website for you, but they aren’t there. If you have a Jimmy Choo boutique where you live, go check them out. They’re so cute and fun!

The entire excursion was a little over two hours, then I had to go and pick up my kids from school; another fun thing that has reopened! Yay!

In order to ensure I was comfortable, and ready for a lot of walking, I wore these soft and comfy espadrilles. They are a fabulous go-to shoe for warm days; it was in the mid-80’s. The jeans were comfy too, and of course the tee was perfect for the weather! I really am addicted to these puff sleeves! It might be my favorite trend of the year!

I am looking forward to June 15 when the state officially reopens! Fingers crossed we end our mask mandate soon too. What have you been up to lately now that things are reopening?
