Flare jeans and pink for fall

I am loving the fact that these jeans are in a short length! If you are 5’4″ or under, you know the struggle to find wide leg or flare jeans in the right length. If we buy regular length jeans and try to shorten them, we lose the flare! It ruins the entire silhouette of the jean. The fact that these jeans are available in short, as well as regular, petite, and tall, makes them absolutely amazing! Plus, they are under $100, how fabulous is that! Love!

Since I now have flare jeans in the right length, I paired them with this fun, short sleeve pink sweater and my favorite blue earrings. These suede boots are also comfortable and offer arch support via the block heel. I was able to walk around in them without any foot pain. Love that!

If you are still on the fence about a hobo bag, I highly recommend this one! I am wearing the version from last year, but this year’s version is equally fabulous with a softer leather. It is the right size to fit everyday essentials, plus the bag is comfortable to wear. The hobo bag trend is still going strong as we move into the new year, so it is safe to invest in one right now. Love this one!

I wore this outfit the other day to check out La Pizzaria Cupertino. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and amazing. I enjoyed the arancini balls and my pasta. Yum! I plan to go back with my kids so they can enjoy the pizza and pasta too. If you are local, I highly recommend it! They are located on the edge of Main Street facing where Vallco used to be.

One last thing about these jeans, they are very comfortable, and the denim is really high quality. I love the fact that they are available in so many lengths, I wish all denim brands would do this!

Wide leg jeans for short people

I am so happy fall is here! The weather is better, and the fall styles are so fun and fresh! Love! It was refreshing to be able to wear this new fall outfit and enjoy a relaxing lunch with my friend Dawn from Fashion Should be Fun. She took these outfit photos!

If you have been following along, you may have heard me talk about how wide leg pants have too much fabric on someone short as myself. Well, I found wide leg jeans for short people like me! If you are short, or you shop in the petite department, I found wide leg jeans we can wear! Yay!

These fabulous, 1970s vibe jeans are available in short, regular, and tall. I am 5’4″ so regular jeans which are wide leg, flare, or bell bottom, are usually waaaaaaaaaay too long for me. So when I saw these jeans in short, and tried them on, I was hooked! They don’t hit the floor in bare feet, yet they hit in just the right spot with boots. My boots have a 2″ block heel, so they are tall, but not too tall. If I wanted to wear sneakers or loafers with these jeans I could, since the jeans are the right length.

The cool thing about these jeans, is if you are not short like me, they also come in regular and tall. I have a good friend who is tall, so I know she can wear these in the tall size. Love that!

Word on the street is that skinny jeans are over, much to my chagrin. So, it is time we find the new styles in our sizes! This fall season, we all need to replace our skinny jeans with a pair of wide leg jeans, and a pair of flares. I will definitely be posting more jeans as I find styles that work with short legs like mine!

Now that we have discussed jeans, let’s talk about food! haha My friend Dawn and I enjoyed a yummy lunch at The Counter at Santana Row. If you have not eaten at The Counter, you must go! They have a large variety of possible sandwich combinations you can customize on your own. I love their Impossible burger with cheese, mushrooms, and pesto. They also have meat burgers, chicken and veggie. It’s so good!

Spring 2023 trends from NYFW

The last model has walked off the New York Fashion Week runway for the spring/summer 2023 season, and we are left with inspiration for the new year.

New York designers favored two distinct color palettes for the spring 2023 season. We are seeing bright hues, and also mixed neutrals; which are reminiscent of 1970s fashion.

Speaking of 1970s inspiration, the decades of influence from New York for the spring season were heavy on the 1970s, and also mixed in with 1960s vibes, and some 1990s and early 2000s trends. Think the return of Jellies and swamp foot. Yikes!

The handbag trends from NYFW for spring 2023 include the return of the doctor bag, slouchy and large bags, jelly bags, and the continuation of the hobo bag, moon shaped bag, small bags with structure, and structured clutches.

For fashion, we are seeing asymmetric necklines and hemlines, maxi skirts and dresses, 1960s mini dresses and skirts, more puff sleeves, off-the-shoulder and one-shoulder necklines, pencil skirts, blazers, all-white looks, cut-outs, and wait for it-it’s very groundbreaking-florals!!!

The overall vibe for spring 2023 is a return to dressing up. Look for less loungewear, and more dressy styles. While street sneakers are still hot, they are paired with pants and a blazer instead of a track suit. The rule of this thumb this spring; comb your hair and tuck in your shirt, there is no room for being sloppy.
