Christian Louboutin Farida is a beautiful, sparkling brown nail polish from the Christian Louboutin “Noirs” nail polish collection. Brown is a nail polish color I do not normally purchase, but, Farida by Christian Louboutin is a brown hue which seemed un-brown to me; if that makes any sense!

Brown, to me, is a neutral hue which is used to make other colors seem richer. As a nail polish, the thought of brown never really peaked my interest until I spotted Farida in Christian Louboutin’s nail polish collection. This fabulous brown hue sparkles; in such a way that is seems as though it is a color, not just a fall neutral. Love that! Christian Louboutin Farida seems jewel-like to me, and I love anything that sparkles or suggests bling!

I tested out Christian Louboutin Farida nail polish with two coats of color and one base coat; no top coat. The nail polish is extremely long lasting and lasted eight days without chipping! The only reason I took off the nail polish on day eight was due to the fact that my nails grew and I had a space between my cuticles and the paint; and that bothers me.

One of the things I love about Christian Louboutin nail polish is the fact that is it free from the five nasty chemicals found in many other nail polish brands. Knowing Christian Louboutin nail polish is safe and natural, makes it seem even more luxurious. My only complaint is the length of the stiletto-inspired brush. It is a little bit too long and unbalanced which makes it a little bit challenging to apply the nail polish. That being said, once Christian Louboutin’s nail polish is applied, it is long lasting and the color saturation is exquisite.

I am in love with Christian Louboutin Farida nail polish and look forward to wearing it throughout the fall season. You can find Christian Louboutin nail polish online here and here.

Dolce & Gabbana Verde Bosco nail polish review

Dolce & Gabbana’s new Verde Bosco nail polish for the fall 2014 season is just as mysterious as it is alluring. The deep, dark, hunter green hue appears black at first glance, but when examined closely, one can see the hunter green color hiding inside.

Playing off of the captivating colors from Dolce & Gabbana’s fall 2014 runway, Verde Bosco nail polish captures the magic of Dolce & Gabbana’s runway inspiration which offered a color palette inspired by the bewitching allure of nature. Hunter green also happens to be one of the “IT” colors of the fall 2014; making Dolce & Gabbana’s Verde Bosco nail polish an easy way to wear the hunter green color trend this autumn season.

I tested out Dolce & Gabbana’s Verde Bosco nail polish with one base coat and two coats of color. The nail polish stayed chip free for six days. Love that! The color was fun as it seemingly changed from appearing black, to a deep hunter green, depending upon the light. I love the mysterious effect Verde Bosco by Dolce & Gabbana has and will enjoy wearing it this fall season.

Dolce & Gabbana Verde Bosco nail polish works well with fall 2014’s dark autumn color palette. The hunter green hue also blends well with fall 2014’s neutral palette while offering a slight color contrast to the season’s blacks and grays. Verde Bosco by Dolce & Gabbana also offers a sophisticated touch to evening apparel this fall 2014 season.

Christian Louboutin Lova nail polish review

Christian Louboutin Lova Christian Louboutin nail polish

Pictured: Christian Louboutin nail polish “Lova” taken in early morning sun. 2014©

Christian Louboutin nail polish is the first real fusion between high heels and nails. Inspired by the original red nail polish Christian Louboutin snatched from the hands of a co-worker to paint the soles of a pair of high heels, Christian Louboutin introduced a collection of nail polish in noirs, nudes and pops for the fall 2014 season. One of The “Pops” is “Lova.”

When Christian Louboutin first annouced he was launching a line of nail laquers, I was intrigued. I always love gazing at his collection of high heels; even if they are not always practical enough for my own wardrobe. As the owner of two pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes, I already am a fan of work, and as a fan of nail polish, this launch excited me!

Christian Louboutin first introduced a red nail polish hue to kick off his collection which matched the trademark red soles of his shoe collection. As someone who owns way too many bottles of red nail polish, I passed on this initial launch. When the next wave of colors came out from Christian Louboutins’ nail polish collection, I was thrilled! I love the collection of nudes, noirs and pops the famed shoe designer introduced for the fall season.

From the collection of pops, I chose this beautiful purple hue named “Lova.” “Lova” by Christian Louboutin is a fabulous, bright purple color which can easily be worn during any season of the year. The color looks amazing with fall’s berry color palette; as well as with shades of blue. Since varying shades of blue is going to be an important color trend for the upcoming spring 2015 season, Christian Louboutin “Lova” nail polish is the perfect hue to both blend and contrast with this upcoming trend.

The application process for Christian Louboutin nail polish is little bit different than traditional nail polishes on the market. Instead of a short handle for holding while applying the nail polish, I had to actually hold the stiletto shaped top. It is a little bit difficult to maneuver because in addition to the long top, the brush is shorter than other nail polish brushes I am accustomed to using when I paint my nails. Although the brush was a bit challenging for me, I persevered and was able to adapt by dipping the brush more often.

Christian Louboutin “Lova” nail polish ended up looking beautiful after two coats of color. I used one base coat and did not use a top coat. The color turned out even and saturated; extremely beautiful! Although I did receive a tiny chip on my index finger within twenty-four hours of wearing Christian Louboutin “Lova” nail polish, I did not receive any additional chips or cracks. The nail polish lasted for one week and looked fabulous! I look forward to testing out more nail polish hues from Christian Louboutin this season; and in future seasons!
