Happy National Jewel Day! In order to celebrate this sparkling day, I am sharing my favorite jewelry pieces with you. The butterfly ring is actually a gift for my daughter, she doesn’t know yet, so shhhh!

We are still in the investment dressing era. This means our jewelry should follow suit. As you add to your jewelry collection, look for timeless pieces such as what I have featured above. There are times when I need to wear a professional, business casual outfit, and not jeans. I was so happy to find these wide leg pants in petite sizing! As you know, alterations can add up and delay adding a piece to your wardrobe. When pants are available in petite sizes, it makes life so easy! Plus, the pants fit out of the box, love that!

Sometimes I like to wear all black when dressing for an event or professionally. There is something simple and chic about an all-black look. I love these petite wide leg pants in black, they are perfect for an office setting as well as evening events, or daytime events when I want an alternate to jeans. I mean, black pants are as versatile as jeans!

This black sweater is also a go-to in my spring wardrobe. Seriously, I can wear it with office attire, a skirt (there is a matching one!), and jeans. A black spring sweater is just like a little black dress, there is always an occasion to wear it! Love that!

I wore this outfit to the Broadway San Jose launch party. It was comfortable for walking, standing and sitting. It also Broadway show appropriate. Love!

Lunch and petite jeans

If you wear petite pants like I do, then you get really excited when you find something in petite sizing which is also on trend or fashionable. Nothing is more mundane than having to alter jeans or pants because they are too long. So, when I spotted these wide leg jeans in petite sizing, I was hooked!

I love jeans. If you have been following along, you probably already figured that out. haha. I wear jeans more than any other type of clothing. Nothing irks me more than having to get my jeans shortened. It’s costly, plus it takes time away from wearing my brand new pants/jeans! These fabulous petite jeans are perfectly on trend and can be worn the day you buy them. If you wear petite pants, you totally get this!

Since I was armed with new jeans that I didn’t need to get shortened, I decided to wear them out with my friend Dawn from Fashion Should Be Fun for a yummy lunch. We decided to meet in Los Gatos and have lunch at Zona Rosa. If you are local, and you haven’t eaten at Zona Rosa, you are missing out! The food is delicious and there is a really cute outdoor seating area. It was a little cold, so we ate inside. But, when the weather warms up, you will catch us outside!
