JINsoon nail polish is one of the popular brands you find backstage at New York Fashion Week runway shows. I have always admired their nail colors, and their nail art, on the runways; so when they offered to send me their fall collection, I was thrilled!

The JINsoon fall 2017 nail polish collection is hot off the runway, and I am so excited to share the colors with you!

I tested out the JINsoon fall 2017 nail polish collection with one base coat, and two coats of colors. I found the nail polish to be extremely chip resistant. I did some household cleaning without gloves in order to test the durability of the polish, and it passed all the tests! JINsoon’s nail polish did not chip, or wear, off while I scrubbed the kitchen, the bathrooms, and the floor while wearing it; without gloves. Love that!

Fall 2017 is all about dark colors, soft fabrics, texture, and a vintage vibe. The JINsoon fall 2017 nail polish collection captures this vibe, and the colors work well with the look of the season.

JINsoon Abyss nail polish for fall 2017 is my favorite color from the autumn collection. Abyss is a deep, dark, mysterious blue which has a slight greenish tinge in artificial light. In natural light, it is a beautiful, dark navy hue. I love this color and can’t wait to wear it often this fall season!

JINsoon Fable is my second favorite color from the fall collection. This is a fabulous, deep, dark purple hue. Purple is one of my favorite colors, so it makes a great alternative to my go-to blue hues. I plan on weaving this color into my fall nail polish routine often. It is simply stunning.

JINsoon Idyll nail polish is a classic orange-red. This is a timeless autumn hue which captures the essence of the fall season. My daughter spotted this color on my nails, and her eyes got wide. She snapped up the bottle and has made it her own. She is currently wearing Idyll on her fingers and her toes. She has no plans of returning the bottle to me. It is truly a beautiful fall hue. Love!

JINsoon Milieu is the ultimate classic taupe for fall. This is a great neutral color which should be a staple in anyone’s nail polish wardrobe. Milieu is a little bit more then a traditional neutral; it happens to have slight black undertones. These come out as appearing to add texture to the nail. You can really see it on my pinky in the photo above. I love when a neutral is not so neutral. When I don’t want my nails to compete with my outfit, JINsoon Milieu will be my nail color of choice.

This was the first time I tried JINsoon nail polish. I am really impressed! The colors apply smoothly; leaving no streaks. They are long lasting, and extremely chip resistant. In addition, JINsoon nail polish is priced under $20. Love that!

To celebrate, they have introduced a special birthday edition of the famous Guerlain Meteorites Pearls for 2017. This special edition offers the same, well-loved Meteorites Pearls in a beautiful birthday package which looks so pretty on a vanity. This special edition is named the “Guerlain Meteorites Birthday Candle Pearls.” Love!

How pretty are these pearls!! I tend to prefer wearing powder alone, without foundation. I am prone to acne, so I only wear foundation for special occasions. My daily beauty routine consists of concealer over blemishes, blush, and powder. Although I have always admired Guerlain’s Meteorites Pearls from afar, I hadn’t tried them before. I was so thrilled to have the chance to try them out. I am hooked!

I used this beautiful pink makeup brush to apply the pearls. The brush is luxurious and soft; I need to get the blush version! This brush glides over the beautiful pearls, and helps apply the powder evenly across my face. I love the uplifting, illuminating look the powder offers me. This is my new go-to powder for my daily beauty routine! I love this pretty, pink, special edition casing. My daughters are already eyeing it in hopes of snagging it from me, but I have a good hiding place where they can’t find it. haha

How cute is this on-to-go Meteorites Baby Glow stick? This is a great highlighter in a compact package which fits nicely into my purse for touch-ups during the day; or for travel. I don’t want to throw my pearls into my suitcase, so this stick is perfect to use in lieu of the pearls while traveling. Love!

Packed for New York Fashion Week and what to expect

Where does the time go? It seems like I was just writing about the fall/winter 2017/18 collections from New York Fashion Week last February; and here we are, looking at spring/summer 2018!

My schedule this season is a little bit crazy; so I am unable to attend the full week of shows at fashion week. Instead, I am flying out a day late, and leaving a little bit early; but don’t despair, I will be squeezing in as many shows as humanly possible in order to bring you the hottest trends from New York for spring 2018! Yay!

My fashion week coverage will start Friday, so watch my social media channels to see what is happening on the runways in New York. It should be interesting to see what spring 2018 will bring to the world of fashion.

Hopefully we will see more ruffles, metallics, bright colors, asymmetrical lines, and fun prints. If resort 2018 has anything to say about spring 2018, there will be stripes, bright colors and prints, shades of red and pink, western/cowboy inspiration, off-the-shoulder tops and dresses, as well as an explosion of athleisure looks. Let’s see if the old adage of resort being a glimpse into spring holds true!

I have packed outfits for fashion week which are both fashion-forward, and comfortable. If you have read my previous fashion week posts, you might remember my constant complaints of tired feet, walking, and standing. I found last September that wearing booties with socks is far more comfortable then killing my feet in cute high heels. This NYFW I will be repeating this trick by wearing booties with socks. You can take a peek at what I packed below:

What’s in my New York Fashion Week suitcase:

My fashion week beauty routine is simple and quick. I don’t bother with masks or deep cleaning while I am on the road. I use a one step cleanser on my skin and simple makeup. I will be using both Chanel and Estee Lauder lipsticks for color, my favorite Laura Mercier Caviar eye stick, Chanel blush, Laura Mercier foundation powder, and this fabulous foundation by Estee Lauder. If you are looking for a long-wear foundation which won’t clog pores, dry out skin, or do anything annoying to your face, haha, this is the perfect foundation!
