Beauty sale! Laura Mercier and ReVive three day sale!

Starting today, two of my favorite all-time beauty brands are having a three day sale! That’s right!!! June 25, 2014 through June 27, 2014, you can save money purchasing from Laura Mercier or ReVive; or both!

Here are the sale details:

Today through Friday you can save 20% off your purchase from LauraMercier.com and also receive free shipping with your $75+ order! How amazing is that?!?! Let’s face it, beauty products NEVER go on sale, so this is an extremely rare opportunity to save money on beauty products. I plan to stock up on Laura Mercier’s “Caviar Stick.” I cannot live without Laura Mercier “Caviar Stick” in “Cocoa.” It is my number one go-to beauty product I put on everyday before leaving the house! Well that, and deodorant of course 😉

ReVive has been my go-to skincare line for well over a decade. The world might end if I run out of their “Sensitif Renewal Cream” with spf 30 or their fabulous “Fermitif Neck Renewal Cream” with spf 15. Recently, I became hooked on ReVive’s facial cleanser; you can check out my review here.

ReVive NEVER goes on sale, so this is the ideal time to stock on every skin care product you need. I know I will be stocking up! If you shop at ReviveSkinCare.com now through Friday and spend $250+ you will save $50 off your purchase and receive free shipping. In addition, you can select up to two free samples! Love that!

I am a huge Laura Mercier and ReVive fan, so if you have any questions about the their products while shopping the sales, feel free to tweet me, Facebook me, or email me at cathy at bayareafashionista dot com.

I cannot wait to hear what you buy! Happy shopping, and stay fabulous 😉

Skindinavia makeup primer review

DSC_0126Pictured: c/o Skindinavia “The Makeup Primer” spray

Skindinavia “The Makeup Primer Spray” is a vitamin-based primer which is applied on top of your moisturizer/face cream, and before your foundation. The idea behind the primer is that it creates a smooth surface for foundation which, in turn, allows foundation to apply evenly and create a clear, smooth complexion.

There has been a new trend in makeup, where products, such as primer, foundation, and more, are being offered in a spray; making application easier than with the traditional bottle. Skindinavia’s “The Makeup Primer” is an easy to use spray-on primer which applies evenly, and allows the perfect base for foundation.

I tested out Skindinavia’s “The Makeup Primer,” which also controls oil, in both eighty and ninety degree weather. It worked like a charm! My foundation did not melt and my make-up stayed smooth all day. Skindinavia’s “The Makeup Primer” is a lightweight, silicone-free makeup primer which does not clog pores. Love that! It is also loaded with vitamins, antioxidants and Skindinavia’s “temperature-control” technology which helps keep your skin at an even temperature.

Skindinavia’s “The Makeup Primer” is ideal for the warm summer months and perfect when you need your foundation to look smooth and fresh; and isn’t that everyday?!

Skindinavia’s “The Makeup Primer” can be found online at Skindinavia.com

One-piece swimsuits for summer 2014

One-piece swimsuits are a must for the summer months. While a bikini may look amazing on the beach, one-piece swimsuits are more practical and allow for carefree water-play. Plus, with so many amazing trends in one-piece swimwear this summer 2014 season, you may find yourself reaching for your one-piece and leaving your two-piece in the dresser drawer!

One-piece bathing suits for summer 2014 are reflecting the trends we saw on the spring/summer 2014 runways in New York. For the summer, one-piece bathing suits are being shown in retro styles, sport inspired, with cut-outs, sheer panels and in graphic prints; all hot apparel trends from the runways. Love that!

If you have found gravitating towards sheer panels, cut outs, sport inspired, graphic prints or retro styles in your apparel during the spring months, you are in luck! You can convert those spring trends in your summer swimwear wardrobe and rock them on the beach, by the pool, at the water park, kayaking, canoeing and more! Imagine all the places you need to wear a swimsuit and will look like you just walked off the catwalk in New York.Work it!

In addition to reflecting the runway trends from New York, one-piece bathing suits for summer 2014 are also showing a few distinct silhouettes this season. Instead of the classic tank suit, one-piece bathing suits are being shown with one strap, retro halter tops, low hip cut-outs, and more coverage than we have seen in recent years. Thank goodness swimwear did not pick up on the ultra high hip from the 1980’s! (Especially since sport-inspiration is a trend from the late 1980’s and early 1990’s!!!) But beware, that style has been spotted in gala attire for summer 2014 season, fingers crossed it does not hop over into swimwear for 2015. That would be one trend to stay away from. It did not look good in the 80’s, so there is no way it will look good now!

I found a few fabulous one-piece swimsuits around the web which reflect the retro, sheer panels, sport, inspired, cut-outs and graphic print trends and assembled them into the shopping widget below. I hope you love them! Happy shopping, and stay fabulous 😉
