Happy National Jewel Day! Although the day is focused more on jewels and fine jewelry, I thought it would be fun to also celebrate classic, timeless jewelry which doesn’t break the bank. Don’t get me wrong, I love a beautiful bauble, but timeless, everyday jewelry is not only more practical, but it is also more indicative of personal style. After all, how many people walk around flashing large, fine jewels? OK, you got me, princesses! Well, since most of us are not part of a royal family, investment jewelry we can wear everyday is perfect.

As you know, I love classic pieces which can be worn on a daily basis, and eventually passed along to my daughters. This silver jewelry from Lois Hill is perfect for investing in at an affordable price point. I also love these classic, silver bamboo style hoops. They are perfect to wear everyday.

This spring, why not add a pop of color with classic Elle earrings from Kendra Scott? I love how many colors there are to choose from. You will always have a pair to match your ensemble. Love that!

These gemstone bead bracelets are perfect for stacking and showing off on a warm day. I believe the ideal stack is three bracelets. They look great mixed with other bracelets such as the silver ones featured above. Love!

Since it is National Jewel Day, this is the perfect day to clean your jewelry, and polish any silver pieces you may have in your jewelry box.

Shoulder bags, investment jewelry, spring nail polish, and jeans that aren’t skinny; this is what everyone is buying for spring! This week, classic, staple wardrobe pieces have been hot on the blog.

The spring 2023 nail polish collection from Chanel is finally here! This year, Chanel has given us two colors for the spring season with one classic hue, and one fun color. Love that!

The classic hue is Chanel Rouge Cuir, which is a timeless berry shade that can be worn during any season of the year. I see this as an expansion of the neutral hues Chanel released last fall. If you are looking for an updated neutral, this is your spring nail polish color.

If you are looking for something a little bit more fun, Chanel Watermelon nail polish is a shiny, sheer, sugary orange. This nail polish applies with a sheer, jelly-like look which is high on shine. I used two coats of color in my photos, and as you can see, the polish doesn’t completely saturate the nail. with three coats, you can recreate the color you see in the bottle.

So, without further ado, here are the two spring nail polish hues from Chanel.

Chanel Watermelon nail polish is a jelly-like polish which does not offer a lot of color saturation. If you want the color in the bottle, it will require three coats. If you prefer the avant-garde look of the shiny and jelly-like consistency of this polish, one or two coats will achieve your goal. Photo taken with one base coat, two coats of color; no top coat.

How pretty is Chanel Rouge Cuir nail polish for spring! I love it! This is a fabulous, updated neutral hue which can be worn to the office, daily, and also in the evening. It is the ideal polish to put on and leave on until it chips, or your nails grow. Tested with one base coat, two coats of color, and no top coat.
