Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille body cream review

Laura Mercier has a new fragrance for the fall season which has been added to her line of body products this month; the new scent is warm “Ambre Vanille!” Ambre Vanille is perfect for the fall season as it combines warm woods, florals and sweet vanilla to create a warm and cozy fragrance expereience for the moderate to cool weather found in autumn. Ambre Vanille by Laura Mercier also happens to contain Fall’s ultimate “HipNote” of sandalwood. Love this!
Top notes: tangerine, coconut, almond

Middle notes: tiger orchid, milk flower, helitrope

Base notes: vanilla beans, brown sugar, sandalwood

Laura Mercier’s new fragrance Ambre Vanille is available at Sephora.com in a honey bath soap at $40, a bath scrub priced at $46 and a body cream priced at $55.
I tested out the Body Cream and it was A-MA-ZING! As is always the case with Laura Mercier’s body cream, the Ambre Vanille body cream is moisturing without leaving a greasy film and locks in your skin’s moisture. As someone who has sworn by Laura Mercie’s body creams for the past ten years, I am in love with this new scent! Ambre Vanille is a must try.
I rate Laura Mercier’s Ambre Vanille body cream five out of five stars!

Laura Mercier’s Ambre Vanille can be found online at Sephora.com and at Laura Mercier counters.

The Urban necklace from Twisted Silver

This fall, silhouettes are more structured and casual clothing has taken on an edgy yet comfortable vibe. With skinny jeans and black leather leggings being the go-to casual pants of the season, tops will automatically be long and have a natural flow to them. These types of ensembles call for a long and versatile necklace which offers the perfect symmetry to the season’s long sweaters, tee-shirts, tops and blouses.

The new “Urban” necklace from Twisted Silver offers a long necklace style in antiqued silver. The pendant offers a geometric, 1980’s vibe; yet is simple enough to work with a blazer or thrown over a long blouse andleather leggings.

The “Urban” necklace from Twisted Silver debuts online today at Twisted-Silver.com and is priced at $40. Use coupon code INSIDERS for a 15% discount. Happy shopping and stay fabulous

Trends to hope for from the spring 2013 runways

New York Fashion Week kicks off today with a forum and the Style Awards. New York Fashion Week will be in full swing by Thursday; and designers will show off their new collections for spring 2013. While we have barely started wearing our fall 2012 wardrobe, and chances are we are not done shopping for fall, spring 2013 will soon be splashed in our faces and make fall seem oh-so-last-year; yawn!

Back in spring 2012 the runways were filled with bright colors, color blocking and lighthearted styles which reminded us that fashion is a fun form of wearable art. Forecasters have already predicted that bright colors and neon hues will be front and center for spring 2013. It has also been forecast by Pantone that blue will be the new black!

Although bright colors and neon hues have been predicted for spring 2013, even before designers show off their new collection on the runways, we cannot forget that in spring 2012 the designers in Paris were all about pastels. Sweet shades of lavender and mint were mixed in with bright colors as some of spring 2012’s most important colors. I feel like Paris will continue with pastels and the sweet, feminine color palette may even get sprinkled onto the runways in Milan, New York and London for spring 2013.

As for other trends such as color blocking, florals and metallics, it should be interesting to see if designers continue them or if they go in a new direction. With the proposed uptick in neon dye lots ordered by designers for their spring 2013 collection, we have to wonder if the 1980’s will make another comeback or if bright colors will take a futuristic turn.

I guess we will find out tomorrow what spring 2013 will bring! What trends do you think will hit the runways on Thursday? What trends would you like to see continue and which one do you hope are left behind in 2012? Please leave a comment below or join us on Facebook!
