Victoria Bracha, florals and berry hues

DSC0601 DSC0603 DSC0602 DSC0605

One of the big trends from summer 2013, which is continuing into fall 2013, is the floral trend. In addition to floral prints, berry hues ranging from bright summer fuchsia through to deep, dark burgundy are among the hottest colors for fall 2013. Since I love to incorporate runway trends into my own personal style, this floral top from local designer Victoria Bracha is the perfect answer to both the continuing floral trend and the berry hued trend.

Victoria Bracha is a Bay Area based designer who owns Bracha Boutique in downtown San Carlos, California. Bracha carries Victoria’s line as well as additional brands and designers who are both niche and popular. The entire store is a fabulous mix of apparel and accessories which are hard to find in other shops. Love that!

This top by Victoria Bracha is made from a cool, mesh fabric which is layered and not see through. (As one would assume it would be when the word “mesh” is mentioned!) The mesh fabric is surprisingly cool and allows the wind to breeze in and out; making this a fabulous top for spring and fall! Of course, it is also perfect for foggy, summer days too. Victoria Bracha also uses this fabric for dresses and other pieces which can be mixed and matched together. She also has additional colors and prints which are easy to wear in any season.

I paired my Victoria Bracha top with an A-line leather skirt. This works perfectly for going out in the evening. The top can also be paired with trousers for the office or jeans for casual days. I love versatility!

Soft clutches for fall 2013

saintlaurantclutch

PhotoSaint Laurant clutch for fall 2013.
One of the big handbag trends from the fall/winter 2013/2014 runways in New York, Paris, Milan and London was the soft clutch. Over the past few years clutches have moved themselves from an evening staple to a daytime must-have. Clutches have taken on many different forms from structured envelopes to studded weapons to work-ready briefs. For fall 2013 clutches have taken a new turn; they are soft.

Soft and slouchy clutches are hot for fall 2013. This luxurious and effortless style has made it from the runways to store shelves; which means this trend will find itself on the street quicker than you can say “buy it!”

Every season daytime and evening clutches show themselves in different sizes. For fall 2013, soft clutches are small and medium in size. Smaller sizes are being shown in dressy, evening appropriate fabrications while medium clutches are in thicker, casual daytime fabrics.

Soft clutches for fall 2013 are being shown in autumn hues such as burgundy, dark purple, grey, charcoal, black, chocolate brown, pale beige, green and navy. Although there are many other colors in fall 2013’s color palette, these are the main hues being shown on soft clutches. The traditional autumn shades of fall 2013 and classic neutral tones are making this season a little bit darker and luxurious than what we have seen over the past few years. Move over brights, autumn is back!

Bracha in San Carlos is a hidden gem!

San Carlos, California has a hidden gem! On Laurel Street in San Carlos’s shopping district, there is a boutique owned by designer Victoria Bracha which not only carries her own original designs, the shop is jam-packed with several brands and designers! Bracha not only carries hard-to-find brands and Victoria Bracha’s apparel, the boutique is stocked with handbags, jewelry and accessories! Love this!

I am absolutely smitten with Bracha. The boutique has so many unique designs; it is a refreshing change from the common styles we find at the mall. Does anyone really want to look like everyone else and show up at a party or event wearing the same thing as the girl standing next to them? I think not.

At Bracha there are so many unique styles which reflect the current season’s color palette and runway trends. Bracha is stocked with bright colors, prints, lace, black/white ensembles and a little touch of rocker-chic. Here are a few snap-shots from inside Bracha showcasing the boutique’s current summer stock. There is a black dress with a floral print calling my name! And the wish list grows. . .
