Every girl needs a fabulous denim jacket. Denim jackets are the ultimate, classic staple for foggy days, moderate weather and casual days. The fabulous thing about denim jackets is that they can easily be worn on a casual weekend day, or thrown over a dressier ensemble during the week for the office or an evening out on the town.

I absolutely adore this denim jacket from Rose Royce. Not only does the jacket feature Rose Royce’s amazing flower buttons, it has a leopard print pattern! Meow!

The leopard print adds a sassy flair to the jacket which makes it stand out from a crowd of denim jackets that all look alike; because let’s face, most denim jackets look alike. This beautiful jacket from Rose Royce offers a cropped silhouette, thick golden stitching, leopard print and the brand’s signature flower buttons which makes the overall look of the jacket unique and flat out fabulous!

Since leopard print is a classic pattern for autumn, I am looking forward to rocking this jacket for many years to come. For more Rose Royce pieces featuring their beautiful flower buttons (which I am kind of obsessed with) please visit GetTheLoox.com.  Happy shopping, and stay fabulous

The perfect blazer for summer

Outfit: Blazer: c/o Wallis / Skirt: Parker (similar here and here) / Earrings: c/o Twisted Silver / Clutch: c/o Kao Pao Shu / Shoes: Valentino / Ring: c/o Twisted Silver / Nail Polish: Chanel Paparazzi / Lipstick: c/o Laura Mercier “Sin”

August has been cold. Let’s face it. In the southern part of the San Francisco Bay Area, August is normally a very warm place. We enjoy temperatures in the 80’s and 90’s. We crank our air conditioners all day and all night; but summer 2013 has been different. Having grown up in Marin and lived in San Francisco, I know what a cold, foggy summer is like. I thought I left 60 degree summers behind when relocating to the south bay, but not this year. August has been COLD!

Due to the daily fog and mild temperatures, I find myself wearing jeans or pants during the day and needing a jacket at night. That is where this fabulous blazer from Wallis comes in to save the day. Wallis has created the perfect, lightweight blazer for foggy days and nights. The fabric is light enough for when temperatures hover in the 60’s or low 70’s, yet warm enough to cut off the crisp cold felt when the fog rolls in from the ocean or the bay. Love this!

In the above photos I paired my Wallis blazer with an evening outfit. I love the relaxed shape and fit of the blazer. It was perfect when the fog rolled in over the Santa Cruz Mountains and cooled everything off.

If you like the blazer, and/or you like how I styled it for a recent summer night out in the photos above, please vote for me in a contest on the Wallis Facebook page! To learn more about Wallis, please visitwallis.com. Thank you so much for your support!

Victoria Bracha, florals and berry hues

DSC0601 DSC0603 DSC0602 DSC0605

One of the big trends from summer 2013, which is continuing into fall 2013, is the floral trend. In addition to floral prints, berry hues ranging from bright summer fuchsia through to deep, dark burgundy are among the hottest colors for fall 2013. Since I love to incorporate runway trends into my own personal style, this floral top from local designer Victoria Bracha is the perfect answer to both the continuing floral trend and the berry hued trend.

Victoria Bracha is a Bay Area based designer who owns Bracha Boutique in downtown San Carlos, California. Bracha carries Victoria’s line as well as additional brands and designers who are both niche and popular. The entire store is a fabulous mix of apparel and accessories which are hard to find in other shops. Love that!

This top by Victoria Bracha is made from a cool, mesh fabric which is layered and not see through. (As one would assume it would be when the word “mesh” is mentioned!) The mesh fabric is surprisingly cool and allows the wind to breeze in and out; making this a fabulous top for spring and fall! Of course, it is also perfect for foggy, summer days too. Victoria Bracha also uses this fabric for dresses and other pieces which can be mixed and matched together. She also has additional colors and prints which are easy to wear in any season.

I paired my Victoria Bracha top with an A-line leather skirt. This works perfectly for going out in the evening. The top can also be paired with trousers for the office or jeans for casual days. I love versatility!
